Other cooler options were the ultra kaze or the s-flex to take advantage of the high static pressure, but I figured since Scythe doesn't mount the ultra kaze or the s-flex on it's newer cpu coolers and chooses the high cfm and more expensive slip stream pwm adjustable, they must do so for a reason ...

Definitely avoid H70, it has the same pump as the H50. Thanks for the resistor link.

I can confirm everything that's been said about the noisy H50 pump. It is indeed very iritating. They accepted the RMA but I don't think things will get any better with a new one. Does anyone know how to lower the voltage on the pump without a fan speed controller (can't do it from the MB either). T...
