Re: Seasonic X-400 Fanless PSU
I’ve noticed a difference between the new X-series (including X-650) and the older M12. Every time there is a momentary power outage the PCs with M12 keep working but the X-series reboot. Can anybody confirm that? I can confirm that my x560 can survive a 2-4 second power outage and keep the compute...

1) The drive uses a non standard 4K block size vs. 512 bytes, this throughs off many OSes like OpenSolaris afaik this is normal for all (currect) 2tb+ drives 2) The drives "park" the heads every 8 seconds, so they park, unpark, park, unpark over 1,000 times per day in a normal environment. What about putting a capacitor inline so the initial voltage is higher, satisfying the minimum voltage required to start the new fan? then it could be kept tidy/all in the PSU housing

just had a quick look inside mine. while I didnt power down the fan, shining a light through from the outside makes it look like there is a decent amount of dust buildup. there is some sitting on the outside of the intake too, mainly on the grill areas that are not directly in front of the blades. there is a spot for a 2.5" drive on top of the front 3.5" space, and a choice of a 3.5 or 2.5 drive sitting in the back.
Only the 3.5" drives have rubber grommets.

Silverstone LC-03.
Only problem is it is 2*80mm rear exhaust.
That thing is a beast on its own, let alone if you tried to put a 120mm exhaust in there

My GF's compaq laptop is weird sometimes.
Sometimes it needs the power connected after doing a battery pull for the screen to light up/to boot.
Sounds silly, but does something as simple as that work?
