I don't see it in on eBay? I see the normal version but not the passive one.
If you write PowerColor HD 6850 SCS3 on ebay, you find this card , this one , and this one. .

Powerfull card with a nice price, i would buy it 4 months ago when i built my desktop.

Re: HD6850 Passive by PowerColor!!!!!!

A nice card with a nice price, the card hit 99 degres if you overclock it from 775mhz to 930mhz. By the way : Once the card runs at around 102°C it will throttle down to 600 MHz clock speed which will significantly reduce performance but ensures the card does not overheat. I wish this card was avala...

Re: Modern video card noise: good enough for SPCR?

Of course any purchasing decision is going to be made with local availability in consideration. I'm probably biased toward separate purchases because of the high availablity of products in the USA paired with frequent sales and rebate promotions. However I do have to say that getting a quite cooler...

Re: Modern video card noise: good enough for SPCR?

You can easily flash your bios with your original bios, or also download last bios on manufacturer website, and use the warranty. Lot of manufacturer will obv void warranty if you change the cooler, almost all of them (except EVGA), and not way to fix that. The game is to try to have the quiestiest ...

Re: Modern video card noise: good enough for SPCR?

Why is this stupid? I got my 460 for $150 after rebate, and it comes with a free copy of Adobe Digital Creation Suite that I can hopefully sell for another $50. Newegg prices 570's at over $300. You sound like one of those people that always buys the most extreme high-end tech and believes everyone...

Re: Recommendations for quietest GTX 570 (or even 560 or 470

Can't quote me on it but from my research of galaxy and sparkle the galaxy comes with a value of 15% fan minimum on their 580 and the sparkle I personally know has a 40% minimum. I modded my sparkle 580 (really easy once you flash a usb stick with dos) to 0% minimum. 0% value appears to ramp the fa...

Re: Recommendations for quietest GTX 570 (or even 560 or 470

True, you can also buy a Sparkle 580. If you dont, first, flash the bios, and see what happened (check my review), if its still loud, you can change the fan buy the Arctic Cooler. But if you have the money, buy a Sparkle 570 or 580, and you will probably have to flash the bios also to unlock complet...

You haven't mentioned anything about cable routing.. How is the cable management in that cabinet? Cable routing? what do you mean? Ah, I didn't notice that they were PWM fans. Sorry. :) Then at 5V they should be very quiet and the airflow not high enough to cause discernable turbulence at the rear vent. What kind of noise did they generate for you that matched the standard Define R3 fans? Honestly, i dont ear any difference be...

If you are looking for a GTX460, check my review, you can buy a Gigabyte 460, if you turn fan at 40%, the card is really quiet, if you flash the bios to 30%, its inaudible, and the temps are the same. (40 at idle, 50 when watching Bluray). http://www.vgadownload.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/GIGABY...

Thank you for all details, but you should know that some Heatskin's fan (Mugen 2) run at 90RPM without any undervolt, you only have to set the minimum speed on the bios and the minimum temp to start the fan. So at idle : inaudible ! I was thinking of buying a Corsair H60 too, but at idle, you can ob...

Idle temperatures were between 33-38C (1.6GHz at ~1.0v). Load (IBT-High) temperatures were 64-69C (4.5GHz at...
