Re: has anyone here used a pico-box(chinese picopsu) psu?
Would be a very interesting thing to be reviewed by SPCR or another site that takes power supply testing seriously. I would need convincing of quality and efficiency but on paper they definitely look interesting. This 400W PSU does look useful for some applications: http://www.aliexpress.com/store/...

Re: Wiring Dell DA-2 with PicoPSU for standby
Some DA-2 are known to make a squeaky noise if no power is drawn when turned on. This would take care of the problem.
Returning the DA02 to standby mode would also eliminate whatever concerns one may have regarding leaving the ATX 12V rail on when the computer is turned off.

Darcian (electrodacus) has suggested adding additional power mosfet in parallel to double current capacity. Worth a try, certainly?.

You would be limited by the 8A cap on the 12V rail of 160XT.

Re: HTPC Build
The Sapphire 6670 Ultimate is well behaved in my setup. 75°C running Furmark and <60°C playing BD.
The noisiest component now is the LG UH12LS28 BD-Rom drive.

Re: Sapphire HD6670 Ultimate F[a]nless Card in Single Fan Ch
Greetings and thanks for all your kind replies. @Tetreb 1. I use Furmark and IntelBurnTest to gauge the effectiveness of the cooling arrangement, as they seem to give the system a good workout. I'm not familiar with these programs, so if you have suggestions for something that stress the system even...

Sapphire HD6670 Ultimate F[a]nless Card in Single Fan Chasis
Greetings. I'm thinking of replacing the Sapphire HD6670 DDR5 with the Ultimate fan less version, in a system that is cooled by a single Slipstrteam fan attached to the CPU cooler running at 750rpm. Butterfly.JPG 1. The system is used mainly for video playback, blu-ray and high bit rate 60fps stuff....

Re: PicoPSU for i3-2100, discrete GPU
Greetings. I'm using a pico-160 with the Dell DA-2, feeding the 12V CPU from the DA-2 as described in reddyyuday's thread. The PW-200 is not compatible with the DA-2. http://www.silentpcreview.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=55248 The DA-2 can be replaced by the 192W 12V AC-DC adapter that comes with...

Silverstone SG03 chasis - PSU/CPU heatsink fan placement
Greetings Mike and Neil. Great forum. I'm looking at the Silverstone SG03 chasis to be used with a 70mm Evercool HPKC-10025EA CPU Cooler. The stock heatsink fan will be replaced by a 120mm Slipstream fan running at 750rpm. The systems consists of Intel E7600 CPU/Sapphire HD6670 graphics card/Crucial...
