New htpc/light gaming rig Node 202
Hello everyone! Once again I am turning to spcr to get the best advice for my new build. Last time I built my a system was 2012 and I got a lot of good advice from you guys. After that I have done some changes to the rig as well and currently these are the specs (some of the changes were different c...

Re: Rebuild itx system new fanless psu/picopsu and new case
Thank you for your input! It seems that I will just change to the Node 304 and try with my current setup. I am thinking there is just not enough room with the pico psu if I ever want to add something more to the build. I might actually have to go back to the gtx 660 that I own as switching to the hd...

Rebuild itx system new fanless psu/picopsu and new case
Hi. I have previously received help from many members here and they managed to steer me in the right direction. However I bought the bitfenix prodigy and I am not totally satisfied with this case. The feet are wobbly and does make a very good impression when moved around, its huge for a mini-itx cas...

Not wanting to hijack the thread, but would the node 304 be suitable for a fanless psu, like the platinum seasonic 400 watt?

Re: Lian Li PC-Q33
Thanks for your feedback. I definitely see the problem now. Putting the system in there seems a little risky with regards to heat and noise. I will have a look at the node 304. One option would be to ditch the video card and go with a streamcom case and put the hdd in a nas. But that would be a much...

Re: Lian Li PC-Q33
Thank you for your reply. The Jonsbo/cooltek u2 seems really interesting actually. Lightweight nice-looking aluminium and only 15 liters. To me it seems like they have fitted a sapphire 7750 passive (in the website gallery) and also mounted a 3.5" hdd and a 2.5" ssd on bottom. I cannot find a direct...

Hi everyone. I have previously put together a desktop last year with you guys input. Before building it I had no idea about quiet desktops and what kind of build I wanted, however silentpcreview pushed me in the right direction. My pc config is as followed: Bitfenix prodigy asus h77-i i5 3450 with S...

Re: Bitfenix Prodigy build. CPU cooler + case fans.
Hi, It seems like the Gelid Tranquillo is not available in my country (Norway) so this is not a good option for me unfortunately. but nice recommendation though. I am also of the opinion that the p8z77-i is expensive, but I will have to locate another cpu cooler option that will fit on a "normal" bo...

Re: Bitfenix Prodigy build. CPU cooler + case fans.
Allright I will do some reading. You have been very helpful!
The Big Shuriken 2 rev b is much more afordable and easily available for me. So this seems like a good choice.

Re: Bitfenix Prodigy build. CPU cooler + case fans.
All right, This sounds good, I will go for the i5 3750k and probably the asus pz77 deluxe if this is the best choice for motherboard. RAM choice should be okay now. As far as GPU goes I will start out with the hd 4000. So what left is to find the best CPU cooler for that exact motherboard. I will ne...

Re: Bitfenix Prodigy build. CPU cooler + case fans.
Thank you both for pointing me in the right direction. Maybe I should go for the i5 3570k so I have the option of overclocking and switch to the asus z77 deluxe even though it is a bit expensive (because of the cpu placement) and bonus features. This is within my budget and I could probably add a gr...

Re: Bitfenix Prodigy build. CPU cooler + case fans.
I edited my first post trying to make it abit more clear what I want. I am also considering a cheaper build with i3-2225 with the iGPU hd4000, for better linux compatability, and also less power --> less heat. I would probably still need a quiet cpu cooler though. Most likely I will end up with some...

Bitfenix Prodigy build. CPU cooler + case fans.
Hi everyone, This is my first post at silentpcreview as I figured I needed you guys advice on what to get. This is my first desktop build ever, but I have people that will help me put it all together. The last 7 years I have not been doing much pc gaming att all because I have been limited to laptop...
