Re: I have to call absolute BS on the SPCR 7890K review
...and none of this has anything to do with you having the 7870K? It's really not the done thing to come on a forum, pick a fight with everyone who disagrees with you then diss the editorial content of the site. Oh, but I forgot: you are right, not arrogant. I forgot ebh, you want everyone to come ...

Wow you just really want to get things as wrong as you possibly can... ... I try to avoid weasel words and so it is easy for someone to read and be very clear about what I am saying. I guess we understand each other equally well. Your intention to be clear is admirable, but perhaps not working as i...

Re: I have to call absolute BS on the SPCR 7890K review
Ah, I get it now. You own a 7870K, and this review mortally offends your testosterone gland. I think you need to deal with that , whatever that is, before you attempt to have a meaningful discussion. Any valid points that you're attempting to make here are kinda getting lost in all the static other...

Re: Small laser printer that doesnt curl paper?
I dont know if you noticed...but with the increased speed of laser printers, they tend to curl the paper more than before. I have been trying to find an automatic DUPLEX laser that wont curl them up real bad...especially bad when duplexing. I tried a brother printer and it was pretty bad..not profe...

Re: I have to call absolute BS on the SPCR 7890K review
I know, I was really angered by the fact that it is a disservice to people to gloss over the fact that there is no real difference between the 7890K and the 7870K except for the price. Who cares, they both suck. It's not "Buy the 7870K if you are not a TOTAL MORON. End of fricking story." As Gadget...

*snip* That's some funny stuff. Are you reading the correct review? You know, the one didn't recommend the CPU in question? I especially enjoyed your use of the term cerebral masturbation in a post that was 100% pure unadulterated e-peen. Also, you drink too much coffee, I suspect. Calm down, dear....

If I were to receive credible evidence that other fans were better with regard to my criteria then I would be buying them. If i were to continue this, its just going to become a flame war, and a mod will close the thread, so im going to keep it simple, and stay out, just try to keep an open mind th...

I have to call absolute BS on the SPCR 7890K review
The review I am talking about is here: http://www.silentpcreview.com/AMD_A10-7890K This "review" was BS, actually it was an elevation of BS to the level of PhD (Piled higher&Deeper). The only time the 7870K is mentioned is in the comparison on page one, after that it is a comparison between the 7890...

Re: Confessions of a Noctua fanboy
That's the thing Abula, there is nothing more important to me than reliability and quietness, everything else is not even a remote consideration. The most important thing on any fan is how efective it is, that said we silent seekers search for fans that can cool of quietly, or we might even sacrifi...

Re: The most annoying thing about building a PC
When you do support you have to know this and compensate for it. It's also an exercise in setting limits. Building systems for others is a great way to get rid of your older stuff. Or less than new stuff. Since you are responsible for support it will have to be good stuff; only sell crap as a chall...

The most annoying thing about building a PC
By far the most annoying thing about building a PC is doing it for someone else as a favour for only the cost of the parts, because they expect free technical support for life no matter how badly they screw up. If they pour a bucket of water over it whilst it is plugged in and running, it's your job...

I am building a near silent PC running an Dark Rock Pro 3 cooler. I want to run all those fans at about 30% to keep the PC as silent as possible. I am n...

Re: Confessions of a Noctua fanboy
I recommend noctua a lot out of bieng reliable and well design, specially their pwm fans, that said, i think its not all about how much they last, to me the tone of a fan is more importante, and here there are other fans that compete well like scythe, noiseblocker, nexus, that in some cases offer b...

How do you turn a 4770K into a 4790K? Delid it, scrape off the thick black glue of the IHS put on some decent TIM, put on a thinner layer of silicon glue around the IHS, replace it - and Bob's your auntie. It was (and is) very easy to delid the 4770K, all you need is a vice and you place the PCB on ...

Re: The Problems w/Fanless ATX PSUs
Silencer56 -- Point taken. See the update of the first post. Another point which I think should be mentioned here is that one can have the best of both worlds. A number of high end PSUs allow for you to use it in fanless mode up to a certain thermal limit above which the fan will start to kick in a...

Nec_V20, is it legal to bet on U.K. elections, or only those in foreign lands? In the UK you can bet on anything. One of the funniest ones was back in the day when Princess Diana first became pregnant you could bet on a lot of things, one of the funniest was a friend of mine who got odds on the bab...

Good place to look for storage in the UK
Over the years I have found that the best price I can find for Harddrives or SSDs in the UK has been DABS.com. A company is only as good as the worst experience and this happened to me when I ordered two 8TB Seagate drives from them. Both of them were DOA. I contacted DABS and they offered me a pick...

Confessions of a Noctua fanboy
I wrote in a previous post that I had been using Noctua fans for a decade and a half although the company was only founded in 2005. The thing is that I feel as if I have been using Noctua fans for a very long time. I first started using them in "main computer" terms three generations ago (Pentium 4,...

Don't have any positive or negative thoughts on the Snow Silent. Seasonic had some issues with some builds for "coil" whine. Don't know if it has been definatively resolved with the Snow Silent architecture. Note: I own several Seasonic PSUs - none had issues. I'm iffy on recommending them just bec...

i still use windows xp on the desktop, and i don't see much of a reason to upgrade If it ain't broke, don't fix it :D The only reason to move from one OS to another version is if it truly is an upgrade for you. If the Republicans nominate anyone other than Trump or Cruz they'll be able to beat Hillary, so the Democrats had better use the superdelegates to nominate Bernie, who can defeat anyone. I agree. For those wanting a tip on the 2016 Presidential race
Totally off topic, but for those wanting to have a flutter on political betting here are a couple of good outside bets that have a real chance of happening:
1) Republican Presidential nominee - Paul Ryan
2) Hillary Clinton's running mate - Elizabeth Warren.
