Re: Bay-trail motherboards
Wonder if it comes with a laptop power brick for that price. Looks like May 16th is the release date in Japan. google translate http://www.gdm.or.jp/pressrelease/2014/0502/68925 "Of the AC adapter support "Q1900DC-ITX" will be released May 16" Here's hoping Europe/USA is similar. Be nice if it was t...

Couple of New j1900 with PCIE
Thanks to Jakoob for his updating this thread. Looks like a few cheaper alternatives to the Gigabyte GA-J1900N-D3V and Supermivro X10SBA j1900 mini-itx boards are starting to come online in retail. The MSI MSI J1900I ( http://www.msi.com/product/mb/J1900I.html )for around €70 and the Asrock Q1900B (...

Compaq EVO d510 sff. PASSIVE Heatsink. Only fan appears to be in the power supply and the power supply seems to be high quality with big heatsinks inside. I got one in work accidentally as part of an order of standard d510. I turned it on and couldn't hear the usual noise the D510'S make. I opened t...

"There can be only one". nForce2 chipset. Why? Best onboard graphics by a mile. You can actually play games on it. Best onboard sound. Reviewers compare it to an Audigy 2 board. SPDIF Out? Yes Try and get a board that undervolts and use a DLTC Athlon. My Athlon 1800+ is slightly overclocked to 1600m...

Oysterman, Ive being putting together a box very similar to yours. That Truepower psu is a noisy S.O.B. Once you quieten all the other components the PSU fan sounds like like a Volcano 9 at full pelt by SilentPcReview standards. I had a Nexus in another box that I sold but kept the Nexus PSU. I'll n...

I have to agree with Arman68 about the mobile P4. These should be the ultimate HTPC chips. A desktop board does not support speedstep technology so you get a 12x multiplier with the mobile P4. ( 12 x 100fsb = 1.2 ). However the latest mobile P4's have a 133 fsb, so 12 X 133 = 1.6. I cannot find anyb...

The manual is online now @ http://www.shuttle.com/new/support/download/dwn2.asp?model=SN45G I'll put you out of your misery. 1.1v to 1.0 vcore  Excellent. I wonder will shuttle ever sell the motherboard on it's own ( FN45 ). I love the board but i'd prefer low profile case like the pundit or s...

Keep us posted Dan. I see you have a 1700+. Is this the 1.5v version. I have heard that the 1.5v version can run stable @ 1.1v. with no underclocking. I was going to get an abit nf2 board as these appear to offer 1.1 vcore but I think i'll wait and see how you get on. What I would really like is a m...
