Coolermaster ATC-630, half height cards, 80mm fan, VERY nice looking, a quietish mATX PSU comes with the case (prob. not quiet by SPCR standards) I decided against this case b/c I couldn't tell if the PSU could be replaced with a Seasonic Super Versatile or not. I use the ATC-600 that has room for t...

replacing a zalman PSU, which is still pretty quiet right?, does seem to be a waste. Would an Antec PSU silencing kit work? If you do get a new PSU get an SS 300 or silentmaxx 350 (fanless, but read threads in here about them first) www.silentmaxx.com seasonic super silencer 300 or 350 or 400: http:...

Guess their target market is not consumers... If it's discontinued, uhh, will Arrow still take orders? If I had the money I would have purchased one ... and I will have money again! Maybe Radysis will come out with a better board, say 1000LAN, all 64-bit PCI, 8X AGP, and UATA 133. Though this board ...

Haha, the silencing quest never ends. :D -Ed So the Radysis mobo is like the holy grail of silent computing? SPCR has become my procastination haven when writing papers. I've got a 12 page one right now on the origins of the Mayans and it doesn't look like it'll end for another couple of hours... :...

My Cuda V was $69, that's less than this enclosure However, "Conclusion result: Despite the quite proud selling price of up to EUR 84.50 us that is FEK pro due to the required achievement and one purchase-taps worth." EDIT:  Ignore the following jibberish, I was half asleep  [jibberish] Mine works fine with only the CPU fan, but I never tried just the case fan... I doubt it would work for me b/c the exhaust is a little away from the HS and unless the exhaust were ducted and, err, an intake, I doubt it...

I use both a case and a CPU fan, but the case fan is not necessary for the CPU. I use it to keep the flow of air going to cool my suspended HDD. Should have used an enclosure... There was a low-profile heatsink mentioned one time, don't know if it was slot 1 or 370; I would imagine a low-profile HS ...

I've got an 800A on my 933 Coppermine. Go with the 900A if it'll fit. You should be able to cool that with pretty low heat, prob. even with out the back exhaust, though some kindof exhaust tube may be good. Could you fit an 80mm fan on top of a 900A in there? Smear a little Arctic Silver 5 and you'l...

SmartDrive 2002 Vs. LEY ECD FEK-Pro
How does it compare to the LEY ECD FEK-Pro? http://www.pcsilent.de/en_manufacturer_LEY-ECD.asp My case has fairly poor ventilation so I'm considering one of these. Thing is, will this be quieter than the Suspension? The majority of the Seagate's noise comes from vibrations so the suspension and bett...

Mine has screw holes, but very little room for fan, the optical drives are directly in front of both on either side... Say, how do you put these fans through a fan isolator. None of mine, 60mm or 80 seem to fit. This would add a little room as I currently have them resting half way up the isolators....

Radish
sounds perfect, what DVD software will you use? Radysis sent me a response in mid October that someone would be selling them in November, can't remember who, but they gave me the impression that it'd be sold to individuals. Think you could make the 1.6Ghz, fanless? Will you use the Zalman cooler for...

you could run a system that produces less heat with slightly slower fans is all I was saying. yeah, I did realise it would be only a slight increase in heat, but an increase nonetheless. I suppose though that saying a "few degrees" was incorrect as you point out 2.6 is the highest it could increase ...

I'm a newbie too, working on quieting my first HTPC!, but from what I've read here, a few degrees could mean a few decibles... HTPC height restriction
trip: what do you mean high restriction? I'm using an HTPC case and the case is only so high. When the duct is on top of the SLK-800(A) it is slightly higher than the case; I can only use it with the case off. Sorry, guess I was assuming you were familiar with my case, Note for anyone who do...

I have a Seagate V in a No Vibes and a fan blowing on it. If I turned the fan to exhaust from the HDD, this would prob. be better than blowing on it, correct? The fan is a good 3/4 inch away from HDD, blowing on the IDE connection. Also, I was thinking that a drive suspended loosely would have bette...

Try again with the SLK clips, I got one and snapped them right in. Used the lowest hole and it fit perfectly. I believe there were two sizes of clips that came with it. You have to move it around a little, bend it slightly, but it was easier for me at least than putting the clip on a fan. You don't ...

I've never read any review or heard anything of the company, just thought it was interesting. The only reason I have to think it is quiet is their claim on that page. You don't see many wooden keyboards that advertise how quiet they are. Wood just looks good and if it's quiet, even better. "And sinc...
