If you do not replace your current pump with a quiet one, then the best way to stop the vibration is to put up some mass onto the pump, for instance, you can use a sand bag, and put the sand bag on the pump, or you can fix a steel block on the pump, this is the common way to deal with vibration, it ...

The only way to further quiet your pc and keep the temp. low is to do ducting. the duct can provide fresh air to cpu in the meanwhile you can eliminate the front fan, on the other hand, a good duct can cover up the cpu, HS and cpu fan, this will further reduce the already low speed/noise cpu fan's s...

I use rubber band to tie my case fan(I use a $17 evercool 120mm@5v,it is aluminum housing fan from Compusa) to the case, you must tie it tightly, it works well, I spend 3 bucks bought a bunch of rubber bands that girls use to their hair. There is only one cpu fan, it is a H1A panaflo 80mm at 7...

What is the best material for ducting?
What is the best material for ducting? cardboard is cheap and easy to mod but it is ugly to put it in a system. any other material is good for ducting yet do not require a lot of workshop equipment and efforts?
Thanks for any suggestions.

Best way to silence a pc
people spent money and time to buy and construct interior insulation to quiet their pc, I don't think obsorbing noise is a effection way, instead I belive isolate noise is much more effective and cheaper to do. I am working in car industry and other NVH sensitive applications, enclosure is one way t...

The thickness of that 2 sponges are much larger than the gaps between the hard drive and case, therefore this creats sort of interference fit, the hard drive is pressed firmly by that 2 sponges, the middle section of the hard drive is cooled by the bottom 80mm fan as you can see from the picture, th...

I have 2 front 80mm fans, I moved one of them (top one) up so that it is at the same height of the rear 120 mm exhaust fan, it also blow fresh air at the cpu heat sink as I mount the fan inside a 3.5" cage and enclosed the cage to use the cage as a duct. see the picture you will see what I mean, aft...

Yes, I found a green plastic duct that cover the cpu with heat think and cpu fan, in mnay case the duct only cover the cpu with heat sink no fan at all, of course the duct will cover the rear low speed fan too. beside the duct, the dell case includes many plates as you fold it open, those plates div...

I agreed with you guys, because as I removed 2 front fans, the temp actually drops, this seems negtive pressure inside the case is the way to go. I got a rear 120mm exhause fan@5v, 2 80mm intake fans@5v. I am thinking to remove the 2 front fans, and add a 80mm@5v at the rear, how do you think of thi...

There are fundamental differences between those over clock fridge cooling methods and my fridge cooling. In my case I only drill a hole on the fridge then put the reservoir and pump inside the fridge, that’s it, because my target is not over clocking instead my purpose is to silent my PC, therefore,...

Also, keep in mind as I repeatedly stressed I only have the water cool to 10C, and all fridges are designed to cool below sub zero, so I have not noticed any long period compressor running since I cool my pc using the fridge. this also served well to prevent consendation, however, you do need find a...

Na, The fridge compressor will NOT run for a long time, because the power used to cool PC to 10C and maintain that requires much less energy than the energy loses as you open the door of the fridge when you put things in and out. do yourself a favor before you buy an expensive yet low efficiency rad...
