Can you not make out that bolt where there should be a screw. And can you not see the 2 fins of the heatsink under that top corner of the fan spread out more than they should be? Well, I got a bolt and forced it throw the fins of the heatsink, which is why 2 of them are more spreadout then the othe...

Please have a look at THIS picture. I replaced the stock fan on the socket 370 heatsink rated upto 1200MHz cpus, and added this 92mm Zalman fan running at 12v (for now)! Will this be enough to cool the already cool SL46T cpu ??? I cleaned and reapplied some silver thermal goop using some applicatio...

There are 2 fans on my PSU, 1 at the bottom only visible when the case is open, and 1 at the back which can be seen from the back of the case. The fan at the bottom sucks air into the PSU and the 1 at the back blows air out of the PSU. I know it works this way because I modded it with 2 zalman fan ...

If one didn't play any of those demanding games or work with large graphic files and just did average stuff with XP, would having 1024 MB RAM have any negative effect? Just a waste of money? what am I invisible ?? to quote myself "simply put lots of ram wont slow you down but you wont need more tha...

What if I made a 80mm side duct directly above the CPU+HS-fan and sealed all other openings in the case. This way the the air extracted by the PSU will be forced to pull air in through the 80mm duct potentially cooling the cooler/lowvoltage SL46T before extracting the air through the 2 slow speed f...

I'd probably go with Crucial or Kingston, whichever is easier to get and/or cheaper. Please stay away from the no-name and off-brand RAM, your system (and your sanity) will thank you for it. :) On the subject of RAM, what is the point (percentage) of free RAM that should be considered safe margin f...

Korean memory manufacturers only make the memory chips - they get those assembled on the sticks in Taiwan or some place by another company. Graham well Ive seen samsung originals and samsung chips on generic modules so even if they dont assemble their own modules (which would be odd) they still hav...

thing is, it's overpriced and i dunno where you get a good graphics card for it, but it may be the best available for you. I hate for you to sit there with a brand new, cutting edge processor and have it become outdated without ever using it... After Christmas maybe the prices and selection will be...

ZL1, have you seen the $400 Lippert mini-itx M board? It comes with a laptop AGP, mini-AGP is it? An ATI 9600 mobility or one of those may work in it, if you can find one... Wsc, my dell was full of dust; it's the negative pressure from all of the exhaust fans that pulls it in. There are several SP...

ill do it, thanks man. Heh, i don't know if the Banias desktop boards will ever be out so this might be the only way to build a silent PC that's stronger than a pitiful C3. I'm stupid, i couldn't quite figure MBM5 out... i'll look at it again, i think it does adjust the fans if you link it to the r...
