I am assuming that most people have their cases on top of desks - now my idea is a bit more radical - but why not cut a hole in the desk under the hole in the case and put a pipe through so that it takes the cold air from under the desk reducing noise and getting cold air - of course you are still g...

well my case that I have purchased is the 3R Systems Air Case (it looks identical to the Ahanix Dbox). they both come with a 120mm fan in the front and an 80mm in the back BUT it has enough space for a 120mm all you have to do is swap it.... The bonus about this case is that on the front of the case...

I have a 3R Systems Air case which is identical to the Ahanix D-Box - it is a very nice case - only prob is the PSU. I did a review of this case in another post (linked) http://forums.silentpcreview.com/viewtopic.php?p=65429&highlight=#65429 (bottom of the page) So have a read and see what you think

running F@H invisible?
from what I have seen it can be done but I don't have the time to figure it out or search for it I have just joined and got the CLI version - I am running WinME and am hoping that someone can tell me how to get it to run as a service so that it is out of the way and I can fold when ever my computer ...

Just thinking about it - if you flipped it over and had it drawing air from the top of the case how about building a cover (heatpipe) that draws the cool air in facing away from your seat so as to remove to noise of the air intake at that level. I know I don't make much sense but if you understand w...

This is the case that I have got (I reviewed it for someone else). It might not be what you are looking for but I like it so I thought that I would share it with you. http://forums.silentpcreview.com/viewtopic.php?p=65429&highlight=#65429 (bottom of the page) In NZ you can get it with no PSU or a 30...

If you haven't already purchased your HSFU - have you considered looking at the one made by Zalman which depending on heat wouldn't require a fan at all http://www.zalman.co.kr/english/product/cnps6000alCu.htm Might be worth a look - I haven't used it yet but I am looking at getting one - so if anyo...

I shall put in my 2 cents even though you have already made your decision by the looks of things - I know of a case that has side window space for 2*120mm fans and has the firewire and usb in the front. Although it is cheaper and may not be as accoustically sound as the antec cases  I also know...

Maybe wrong but at a guess could your fans be slightly off centre (bad build) or have some dust in the wrong places causing them to occilate (bad spelling) on the wrong angle, or could it be that there is something that the fans are hitting on their way around causing the noise - may need cleaning o...

Have you considered modifying your PSU / Case so that you have a top mounted fan dawing air directly onto your parts and the other fan in the back drawing all the hot air out ??. I dunno if you can run them both off of the same plug but wouldn't they both run slower for better cooling and Quieter co...

Crazy Mod - Prob not worth the risk
I am looking at making my new computer run silent - and I have heard that water cooling is the best (bet ya can see where this is going  ) I was wondering if done very carefuly might water cooling be possible in a PSU if you had the right water block, instead of having the fan, or is this jus...
