Scythe Ninja Dampen vibration mod

Hi, I just published a mod in my website about dampen vibrations on Scythe Ninja (and noise reduction without fanframe ala artic freezer). The guide is in spanish but I think that pics are self-explicative. http://www.acusticazero.com/content/view/78/29/ Hope you like it. Any questions, just ask me....

Perhaps you can try to connect VGA fan to a Zalman Fanmate for example, so you'll can control speed and noise according to your tastes.

I just bought an ATI Silencer 3 for my Radeon 9800 xt. It also has a clicking problem. Does everyone have this clicking problem? I bet yes. The Artic Silencer fan is the worst fan I ever seen. Worst than all "el cheapo" fans that we can buy for two bucks in a computer store. Other than the clicking...

Mmm... I don't understand whats your problem. CPU idle temperature raises up due to a bad PSU ?? 70ºC?? Sorry for not elaborating on what's wrong with the PSU. The reason I said the fan circuitry was at fault is because the PSU fan would stop spinning or slow down to the point that it becomes ineff...

BTW, the Tagan 480 that I installed has begun to exhibit some heat problems. The PC would not start at all periodically and temperatures would shoot up. I suspect that the fan control circuitry is at fault. At times the idle CPU temp of the Pentium 2.4C would reach 70°C! At other times the load tem...

Not exactly. BeQuiet and Tagan PSUs are based on the new TSP Ultrasilent PSUs... Thats why they all look the same.

No cooper, just alu.

'Only' 50.000 hours for a double ball bearing fan.... mmm... probably a bad fan.

A cheap cooler from a cheap brand. Not for me.

I have a P4 and my Sys temp is higher than CPU temp at idle. Perfectly normal. I believe that sys temp refers to the chipset, at least in p4 mobos.

42ºC sys
39ºC cpu

Alpha performs better in blow mode ?

Why Alpha recomends to put the fan in 'suck' mode?

I did some test with my alpha 8942 (shroud on, case open, case closed, with and without case fans...) and it performs better in blow mode than in suck mode (3ºC better) ... so I dont understand why Alpha say that..

Any ideas? :?:

In my experience PFC costs money as well as noise - I hope I have to eat my words at some stage in the future but (on the noise front) I am disillusioned with PFC! But hey, hopefully someone else here can enlighten us how to silence these damn things
What kind of noise do PFC ???
