AMD 3500 with stock cooler help

Hi, My brother has just put together his computer with an AMD 3500 (venice) with the stock cooler on an asus A8V-xe motherboard. Cool and quiet is enabled, and system properties shows a speed of approx 1Ghz at idle. I'm sure I read somewhere (though I can't find the link now) that the stock AMD cool...

A mac mini may make a great file server, the only problem maybe if you want to run linux on it with airport as airport extreme is unsupported under linux. However, it's small quiet and, according to this, draws only 20 watts and only 28 whilst playing a dvd!!! http://www.tomshardware.com/howto/20050...

Hey, It seems to me that the idea of using 120mm fans in power supplies is good as they can be run at lower rpm for a given air flow. However the current generation of bottom mounted fans are flawed as they suck essentially hot air from the case (and nearby cpu in particular) into the psu. Causing p...
