Kemokim, You should remember that an "idle" drive is still spinning. If there is no active I/O, the heads will not be moving. But the motor and platters are still spinning at 7200 rpm (or whatever the drive's speed is). So an "idle" drive still makes noise, just not seek noise. Ohh didnt know that ...

about the cooler, its not the cooling ability, its more the noise... theres a very weird mechanical noise comming from it.. really loud,, so i just ordered a papst 19db 80mm fan gonna try that instead.. offcourse at 5V

I put a gutted 92mm fan as a spacer between the panaflo & the hs. The fan seemed a little far away from the hs, but I wanted to alleviate the deadspot, so I marked the edges of the hs on the spacer & notched it about half way up. The spacer now sits down onto the hs......it's probably about a 10-12...
