i'm running the mcp350 with XSPC RX120 and 240 rads. The only noise I'm hearing (I think) is some wind noise thru the rads (both push) and my harddrives. The fans are noiseblocker 1200rpm rans running at 7V and 5 V. I have the pump mounted on Petra's gel stuff with an XSPC res top and if it was maki...

I ended up trying to Noise Blocker S2. They were pricey but seem to pretty quiet, not silent. They're rated at 19dbA with 51CFM @ 12V ~1250rpm, I think they're doing a pretty good job. Now I've got a new question, right now I have my XSPC RX240 Rad mounted on the top-outside of the case with the fan...

Best Quiet Fan for WC

The rig in question is in the sig. I'll be using RX120 + RX240 XSPC rads. According to skinee labs review, I should be able to dissipate 300W of heat (enough for my gtx and i7 920) in a 1 fan-push configuration at around 800rpms. I'm looking for 2 fans to push heat out of a top mounted 240 rad, and ...

Well I got the GPU loop up and running yesterday. GPU is idles around 37C as opposed to the 45 it was on the stock cooler. System temp and CPU temps went up a few degrees, which is understandable because the intake now has a rad heating up incoming air. Asulc, if you're going to be doing WC in that ...

1) I think you'd be better off with the Thermalright HR-01 with a 120mm pushing out of the case and a dedicated loop for those GTX 285s. 2) With 3x1000RPM fans, I think you should be within in the range of fairly quiet... silent not really, but pretty close. Considering if it's only a GPU loop, you ...

pulled the trigger on the new Swiftech RX120 supposedly optimized for lowspeed fans. You may want to look at their other 240 and 360 if you want to keep everything quiet and cool all those hot components. I'll let you know how it goes in a week or so when I get everything together. The gtx 285 has a...

Any idea what it may be at load? I believe the GTX should be fine up to 100C (not that anyone would want it there). Can I do this quietly and safely without ruining a new graphics card? Currently the highest I've seen my GPU temp was at 80C playing CoD:WaW (max settings at 1900x1200). That temp was ...

@elpibe10: Do you know/think it's possible to cool a GTX285 (eVGA SC) with one 120mm Feser using two fans in push/pull(ie Noctua or Scythe low RPM)? @Asulc: Nice choice of components. I have the same CPU and GPU (SC) and I'm trying to find a way to water cool everything quietly in my Lian Li PC-60FW...

well i've decided my antec sonata isn't cutting it anymore. i'm looking for a very simple aluminum case, no door, with atleast two 120mm fans (front and rear), nothing big something relatively small, with a removable back panel or atleast motherboard tray. i've been looking at the lian-li PC70B and ...

time for a new cpu cooler?

hey I've been really happy with my setup until recently. My Zalman CNPS7000A Cu makes a very fast clicking noise. It's very audible outside of the case; you would have to strain to hear it at night with everything else off. But the fact that I know it's producing noise bothers me. It's audible if yo...

hey, sorry to beat a dead horse, but.... I'm thinking about water cooling in my Sonata. I know it can be done, but I have a few little things i need to ask. Shuttle + 9600XT AIW = loud

What's a good way to keep an AIW 9600XT quiet in a shuttle? As for the shuttle it was JUST setup. I'm thinking of changing the ICE fan to a variable panaflo or papst. Beyond that, what should I do about the AIW 9600XT?

i think you're going to have to wait for the Zalman ZM80D, the dual heat piped version that comes with ramsinks. I'm not postive on this, but you might as well wait for that instead of putting the old ZM80C on your brand spanking new x800. There's also the option of the Arctic Cooling Silencer (wait...
