at stock speeds, my xp-m 2600 can sit at 1.3v comfortable.
not to mention they have the new xp-m 2400 that is rated for 1.35v, so who knows...it might be able to sit stock at 1.1!
these chips don't need a bunch, i'm at 240x10.5 at 1.75v

it's hard to slow things down when you buy things to make them go fast =) i can run 240x10.5 at a vcore of 1.775, so it's not blazing hot. The fans are running pretty slow, just enough to get enough air moving on the parts needed. The 2x512 mushkin's at 3.3vdimm get pretty warm if you don't have som...

I bet you can get that system to run only with 1 120fan, try removing the botom one and one of the fans on the radiator also, you would have only 1 fan blowing air out of the case through the radiator. ;) leave the opening on the bottom i'm massively overclocking my machine, so i need to have all t...

throw rubber bands around it, and make it hang, so it makes no contact with anything solid. NOTHING else will help dramatically. I have mine mounted inside my lian li pc-75 above my power supply. I did a ton of work with rubber weatherstripping, small tubing around my screws so there was no metal co...

mounted the pump above the powersupply with rubber washers, and then used some soft rubber weatherstripping and squished it. Took out about 95% of the vibrations of the pump. the 2 120's sucking out, and the 1 120 blowing directly up works PERFECT! ram is cool to touch, vid card ramsinks are even ge...

i went and picked up a ton of rubber washers for all the fans also picked up some indoor weatherstiping. 1/4 inch rubber with glue on each side, will work good for setting the pump, and possible squishing it between the HD's and cage...just make sure to keep the 1 side's tape on so it doesn't stick ...

i'm taking care of my noisy cpu cooler and gpu cooler with water. lian li pc-75 will be the case Double heater core, with 2 120mm evercool aluminium fans sucking air out the top. 1 120mm blowing up air from the very bottom, 2 80's in the front set to low just to cool the hd's. I'm pretty new to the world of silent computers...but i'm trying my best. http://www.dvhardware.net/article.php?sid=2002 for the fan controller http://xoxide.com/12alcasfan.html for the fans Looking at the voltages, i'm hoping to hook up 2 fans per channel, is this possible? watercooling section needed!
we should have a water cooling section...one of the quietest ways to cool your computer very well. For example, watercooling cpu, and gpu takes about 50% of the noise from inside the case in my example. What i need is little tips and tricks to keep the 2 120's i'm going to have on the radiator from ...

Graphite : The AcoustiPac and silent drive enclosures together added about 7.5 lbs (roughly 3.5Kg) extra weight. That doesn't seem like that much, but since the standard computer weighs in around 25 lbs, (11Kg), this dampening increased the weight by a full one/third. Add that to the fact the Sonat...

thanks for the help guys i'll be running a XP-m 2600+ near 2.8 or 2.9 speeds. Along with the 9800pro flashed to xt and then oc'd. Both will be running way above normal temperatures. I was looking at a 2x120 design, but i figured a 3x120 with really quiet fans at super low speeds would be better than...
