Chenbro PC61069 or PC61169?
Which case is better? What are the differences exactly?
The only differences I can note, is the PC611's front only allows for a 92mm fan, but it has support for 4 hds. (doubt i'll use four hds, since it's not exactly quiet..)
Thanks for your input

How to buy a case for modding?
Hi, I'm looking to purchase a case and mod it to be more quiet and effective; any hints on what to look out for? Edit: Sorry Ralf, I didn't mean to ask something that was already answered. I've looked at all the stickies first and I haven't found anything that seems to be what I'm looking for. I've ...

Looking to buy and mod a case, what should I look for?
Hi, I'm looking to buy a case and mod it to be more quiet effective, what should I look for in a case? Any experiences or suggestions are welcome and appreciated (including failures). I plan on cutting off the HD Cage, then suspending it within the case. I also plan on cutting/building a duct for th...

There is a software called http://www.hasw.net/8rdavcore/ that allows you to change vcore and FSB , maybe the multiplier as well, from Windows, I do not know about other OS. I have an Epox 8RDA3I and it cooperates beautifully with 8rdavcore except for the multiplier change, maybe it is my CPU. I wo...

I completely agree and believe that having no front fan can be better. Here is some very good anecdotal evidence to prove it. Generally, we (should) recommend a fan in the front only if you're worried about drive temperatures. Since drive temps are generally more critical than CPU temps for most pe...

Best Socket A/462 Motherboard for a Silent PC?
What is the best socket A/462 motherboard for a silent PC these days?
Last I checked, I would've said the NF7-S because it could unvolt to 1.1v, and had software control for fan speed, vcore, and more.

I recently purchased a WD800JB. When I first installed it I thought it was very quiet, hardly any whine (continuous noise) and a relatively quiet low-pitched seek/write (working noise). The continuous or "background" noise is what I'm really concerned with, so I was happy with the purchase. However...

Slim-key Keyboard with 101+ keys, volume control?
Does anyone know of a keyboard that has: 1. slim keys (like a laptop, or the logitech dinovo keyboard) 2. numpad arrow keys 3. extra keys: volume control - and the fewer of any other 'bonus' keys the better... volume control is the only one I find useful. the standard-layout coolers don't do anything for the airflow you ought to have in the case, on the contrary they disturb airflow by blowing into the direction the fins are pointed to. the result is al lot of mixed up airflow, just in the middle of your case. probably a lot of the air that was alre...

but not a real comparison in same conditions, with same CPU, comparing the temperature results. I'll have to agree with you here. It seems (at least to me) the C/W measure of a HSF strongly depends on the W being generated. Once the watts go below or over a certain degree, they no longer perform as...

I've been to the pimprig.com forum's review. It doesn't directly compare the fan the way we'd use it though, it uses high power 52cfm/29dba fans. Something I've noticed is that aluminum heatsinks usually equal or better than their copper competitors with high power fans, but when you use low power f...

Which is better? The SP-97 is all copper with heatpipes, shouldn't it perform better than the SI-97? I haven't seen a direct comparison review. As for the SI-97 vs the CNPS7000A, the closest comparison I see on SPCR is this review: http://www.silentpcreview.com/article194-page3.html (XP-90 vs CNPS70...
