Hey guys, thanks for the replies. I use PureVideo as an mpeg2 decoder. I also have Dscaler, ffdshow, and a few other things installed. I use Zoomplayer, WMP, GBPVR, and Totalmedia that comes with the Kworld USB tuner. GBPVR lets me choose which mux, audio, and video codec I want to use. I have probl...

ATSC USB TUNER playback trouble
I have a USB ATSC tuner that works fine but playback of the recorded video suffers audio and video stuttering on the higher resolution recordings. I have an Athlon 64 X2 5000+, Gigabyte 6100 mobo, Asus EAH3450/HTP/512M, and WinXP. Should I be able to get fine playback on all of the recordings with w...

Try an Athlon M. Only 25 Watts. Also Thermalright SI-97. Les
You need to lower the heat being generated and use a bigger fan to have equal or less temp with less noise. Try an Athlon M. Only 25 Watts. Also Thermalright SI-97 with a Nexus 92mm fan undervolted. Replace 5 HDDs with 2 higher capacity HDD. I keep my house at about 76F year round and the computer i...

am I the only one still waiting for a revision of the Recommended Fans? Alexo, Sizzle, fallenturtle, and I are also waiting. Even though I hadn't read reviews well enough and put an AGP 6600GT in one of my computers, I should have purchased the Gigabyte one with the Zalman heatsink, oh well. Now, n...

Enermax Noisetaker 320w vs Seasonic SuperTornado 300w rev A3
Enermax Noisetaker 320w vs Seasonic SuperTornado 300w rev A3 I already had a Seasonic SuperTornado 300w A3 but wanted a quiet 80mm fan on the exhaust to blow air harder from the case out a homemade duct in the computer desk compartment. It is an 80mm hole just for the PSU. However, the Enermax seems...

I had been busy with a lot and hadn't wanted to reboot the computer to BIOS again and again. However after finally having time I ran CPUburn in which 2 temperature readings increased. One temperature reading which I had always thought was the CPU and another which turns out to be the CPU. Without us...

I also have an Athlon XP mobo w/o mounting holes. I have a Nexus XP-3200. I can hear vibration noise from it. I don't want to lower the speed due to the temp already being high. I saw this post and am tempted to get the ARCTIC COOLING Copper Silent 2M due to lower price and higher CFM at a lower dB....

Reducing vibration noise from Nexus XP-3200 CPU fan
Hello, I have vibration from my Nexus XP-3200 CPU fan. Nexus is supposed to a very quiet fan. Therefore I need something that will reduce this vibration noise or upgrade the fan or buy a different CPU heatsink and fan. See http://www.nexustek.nl/axp3200.htm for my heatsink. If I use an 80mm fan or l...

PChips M811 motherboard CPU temp bouncing
Hello, can anyone help on why the motherboard temp will report as 60 degrees one second then 21 degress the next? Can the CPU temp really change that fast? Is there a problem with the motherboard? I have an Athlon 1700+ and a Nexus AXP-3200 heatsink. No case fan. Seasonic SuperTornado SS-300FB 12cm ...
