Does P180 have speaker for BIOS beeps ?
hi I am having an emergency with my Asus P5B Delux Wi-fi based system ... I think the board maybe dead. However I'm getting no BIOS beeps at all & I can't recall whether the P180 has speaker for this (built this system 18 months ago). Can someone enlighten me ? If it hasn't (and the board hasn't eit...

Thanks people After looking at some pictures of the Nexus iStyle case, I can honestly say that it's probably one of the worse cases for airflow. Go buy a cheap Antec 3000B for $40 or something, move everything over, trash the 5.25" bay cooler and get a front fan for your hard drives. I doubt your ha...

What is "safe" temp for HD's ?
hi I am concerned about the temp of a HD on my old P4 3GHz Northwood PC. It runs at 47-56 degrees C. There are 2 other HDs, one running at 40ish max, the other unknown (older drive with no internal temp sensor). All are WD Caviars PATAs with 8MB cache. It's a typically noisy, P4 Northwood system, wi...

Quiet E6600 fan please ?
hi
Enjoying my new C2D P180B-based system
However, I've noticed that the main noise source is (unsurprisingly) the stock Intel fan.
The 180 cases fans are pretty quiet.
Can anyone recommend a really quiet fan to replace the stock one ?
(preferably a reasonable price)
thanks

Removing lower TriCool fan in P180 ?
hi
I can see some instructions in the review - a bit unclear & refer to older version of P180 with different fan.
At the moment I've threaded some cables between the fan blades - not exactly ideal !
Can someone give me instructions as to how I remove this fan ?
thanks

PSU position ?
hi I am now well underway building my new PC http://www.silentpcreview.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=36695 The HX psu has it's fan port below (or above, depending on which way you mount it). In the P180, what is the best way to mount it - with fan pointing into narrow gap below or pointing up towards t...

I'm not sure if you mean quiet or silent. I am also into music recording so I take it you want a dead silent system, meaning no fans. In that case, make sure you have a fanless PSU and make your video card and CPU fanless as well. You can use either large heatsinks via heatpipes or watercool your C...

Recommended quiet psu for P4 system....
hi I have a P4 3.06 on an Asus P4PE, used as a digital audio workstation. I got a "QuietPC" 450w psu for it a few years back but never been particularly impressed. It not infrequently makes a hell of racket - as though some sort of resonant freq has been hit. Anyway I'm looking for a replacement - p...
