The information till now says nothing about the scoring system or the types of WU's used. Only that the raw computing power is 20x to 40x as big. Maybe we'll see a new class of WU's on monday with a bigger number of amino acids. They have to give people with these speed monsters some benefit, but if...

Only question is if it would lead to stagnant warm air pooling up in the top of the front chamber with the psu taking air in from the bottom - especially worrying because the Tornado has small vents in the front and pushes a small portion of heat out in that direction. Is the PSU hanging above the ...

The Termaltake is not worth the money. Read X-bit labs where they test this PSU in their mass test of Tt PSU's and manage to blow it up @ 380W. The Antec True Power (2?) is not marketed as quiet. So it probably isn't. If that Antec SmartPower is a SmartPower 2, then it is on SPCR's recommended list ...

But the dvd has to be attached to the top/front so that it can be stealthed with a chunk of mdf on the front of it, etc. Not sure that really has any implications for a airflow divider. Just make the gap bigger than the drive and line the edges with soft foam. If you don't already have the DVD driv...

Those products each target a different problem. The main strenght of the Acoustipack is mass loading. It's foam layer is rather thin. The Sonex Willtec on the other hand is completely concentrated on damping airborne vibration (aka sound). Since we don't know which problem you will have with your no...

http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/2656/divisiongd3.png This isn't really that elaborate IMHO. Besides, if you use something more sturdy than cardboard, then it is a nice attachment point for the DVD and the HD suspension. It's not that I think your case would get hot without it, but the airflow cl...

Sure lower US taxes would help as would lowering US wages in principle, but the problem is their taxes being applied to our goods. Nope, the problem is not our taxes applied to your goods. The problem is that you have already taxed your goods and made them with too expensive labour, before we tax t...

What about aftermarket boards? Will every MB be designed to handle the most powerful rigs possible with that board, therefore operating at inefficient power levels with modest rigs, or will there be multiple MBs of the same design with different power ratings? Only the 12V to 5V, 3.3V, etc. has to ...

Monitoring chips on mobo's are standard chips. The most common ones can report 3 different temperatures. But not all mobo makers connect three temperature sensors to them. Even if it does not have a sensor connected, the chip can still report readings. These are of course complete bogus. I have seen...

Your last post completely makes no sense. In my first post I stated that 80mm fanned PSU's and 120mm use the same PCB's. If you got any capacity for comprehensive reading, you see that in that post I am talking about the SIZE of PCB's. I didn't use the name of fsp at all. Simply because this is true...

They're both attemps, successful or not, to make quiet high power 120mm power supplies. Sorry, you are looking from too far away. They are adressing both a different problem as I pointed out above. Heatpipes are appropriate because they remove heat from one location and place the cooling elements where the air flow is adequate. And that is exactly why it is evident that this heatpipe is a marketing gimmick. It's starting point is the one heatsink that is already ideally placed in the airflow....

I'm not premature, I'm realistic. People wanting a "fast" video card form only a part of the total video card market. You answered your own question. The costs too high, the market too small.smilingcrow wrote:The Achilles heel would probably be the cost, but provided the premium isn’t too large I’m sure there would be a market for it.
