Tyrven, Thanks! Yes - the T-Balancer is TOTAL overkill - but it's so cool. I love the fault protection (full power startups, monitoring of fan failure, ability to shut down the computer, etc), all little details you can play with, and the fact that it's hardware based so you don't need any software ...

Can Speedfan read your GPU temperature? I know that the TBan software allows for reading Speedfan data (I believe through shared memory) and using that as valid temperature data. However, since the TBan controller is in hardware, this requires running both the TBan software and Speedfan at the same ...

Re: LCD display for Antec P180
Hi, Sorry for this little question... which little LCDs for fan monitoring could I use to put on (preferably not inside a 5,25 bay, as I'd have to open the little door everytime I want to control the LCD) an Antec P180, compatable with Win2003 and WinXP?!? Thank you! If you don't mind running softw...

I've been toying with the idea of getting a V1 Ultra for my 7800 GT CO. One thing I've thought of trying is to put a 120mm fan in front of the card -- towards the front of the case, in other words. My thinking is that it would direct air at both heat sinks and towards the rear 120mm fan, and take s...

I'm putting a new gaming system together with the following items: Case: P180 CPU: AMD 64 3500+ w/ a Ninja cooler VGA: 7800GT All fans: Nexus quiet 120mm I'm thinking about using the Thermalright V1 Ultra VGA cooler since I believe it will easy to make it quieter than the NV silencer. If I use the A...

Thanks. It's amazing how easy it is to make some very cool interface graphics w/ Photoshop and some tutorials from on the web. I'm really liking the T-Balancer - couldn't be happier with it. It cost some $$ but it does do way more than any other product out there. I'm getting ready to do a major sys...

T-Balancer plugin for Samurize finished.
I've finished my Samurize plugin for the greatest fan controller ever (T-Balancer). Functions are supplied for getting the value of the digital temperature sensors, the analog temperature sensors, the current fan RPM value, the current fan percentage, the maximum fan RPM value, or any arbitrary data...

the northbridge on the dfi is in a really awkward place so it is hard to get a cooler to fit, even on the expert it is placed badly Check out the DFI Infinity SLI. The NB on that is completely clear of the 1st graphics slot and pretty clear for the 2nd. Looks like you could easily put a Zalman with...

You are forgetting that heatpipe-based coolers don't like to work upside down. Most of them work in any orientation. More info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heatpipe Could be... could be... however, there are a few people in the Abit forum who would disagree. People w/ inverted MB's (like me) found...

On the Abit website, it states for the ABIT AN8 Ultra * This product has been discontinued. http://www.abit-usa.com/products/mb/products.php?categories=1&model=278 Dang. I was just getting ready to pull the trigger on this board too. I don't think the SLI board is really an option for me. I've got ...

I have the Lian Li PC-V1100 which is the little brother of the 2100 and I like it a lot even though it is aluminum. As far as I can tell, I don't have any resonance issues. Overall my system is running very quiet. I originally picked this case for a water cooling setup but dumped that as too complic...

Here's another review: http://www.pcper.com/article.php?aid=183 Looks like a winner to me. Fully passive chipset is the way to go. Hopefully they move the power plugs on the MB in the production samples - that's a horrible location. Sounds like the big question is whether NVidia will allow SLI to wo...

Re: Please help if you have an Abit AN8 Ultra
In case you're still after this info - about 50mm x 60mm would be the largest you could squeeze in between the capacitors. Kingsley Thanks! I was still after that. Hmmm - I might have to hacksaw up one of my old CPU heat sinks and give that a try. Unfortunately I was upgrading my machine for TES Ob...

FYI: There are several threads on the Abit forums with people talking about inverted MB's with the heat pipe system on the northbridge. It doesn't work well at all. People have set their cases upside down and done tests which show that the heat pipes on these MB's only work in the "proper" orientati...

Please help if you have an Abit AN8 Ultra
Hi everyone, I'm in the process of figuring out the components for a system upgrade (in preparation for TES Oblivion) and I'm looking at motherboards. For what I want, it looks like the Abit AN8 Ultra is one of the only nForce4 Ultra boards that has the northbridge in a reasonable spot compared to t...

I was in the same boat a few weeks ago. I decided to start water cooling and looked around for a new case that would hold everything internally. Antec P180 interior dimensions?
I was thinking about ordering one of the new P180's but I'm a little worried about some of the interior dimensions. I need to make sure that there's space to put a radiator for water cooling. My initial thought was that either the lower or middle front modules would be perfect but after guest-imatin...

Hard drive cooler and reservoir all in one?
I'm starting to plan a water cooling system and I was a little concerned about my HD temperatures. I've currently got my HD suspended in the air stream from my front intake fans. When I add my water cooling setup, I'm hoping to have just the radiator fan and the power supply fan running which might ...
