If you wouldn't mind answering a question for me please -

you don't need to have rpm monitoring fans to use the T-Bal?

I have read the above post but just wanted to clarify.

Thanks.

I have used the paperclip method to drain the power supply when modding psu's.

After my first mod (modded an FSP 300 using Edward Ng's guide and help via email) I was surprised it still worked. I thought I had blown something inside.

I don't have a SS460 so can't comment on the noise, however I do remember reading somewhere that it's possible to remove the 'warranty void if removed' sticker with a hairdryer? You could try the swap and see if it is any better. A short while ago I was desperate to get hold of a SS but in the end s...

I have ordered from Silencio on a couple of occasions. I thought someone was selling the Nexus fans at that price (9 Euros)

Thank you both for letting me know.

Just want to know if it does really work out cheaper.

Thanks.

Other fans in my system are 1 x D12SM-12 LED fan around 5v 1 x D12SL-12 around 5v 1 x Panaflo around 5v Other noise making components one Barrac...

Edward was very helpful (I emailed him as was shy of posting at SPCR at the time). Have you seen Edward's article? Rec...

Sorry for hijacking the thread. Thanks, but I really want at least the ATX to be sleeved... Seasonic SS400 cables will easily reach even the "worst-case-scenario" mobo headers, but cables aren't sleeved... Ralf, Is that the Super Silencer (retail) or the oem SS-400XX (I think they have different cab...

With regards the mounts - I did mount a motherboard directly to them and the computer did work. Case now passed to someone else and does work as far as I am aware. The audio cables in the case were connected to the back of the motherboard audio ports. One of the blanking plates had a hole in it whic...

You might want to check kustompcs.co.uk for the P180. It may be the cheapest price (pre order last time I checked).

I have a couple of SilenX 120mm 14dba fans. Haven't put the published specs to test but what I can tell you is IMHO they are louder than 14dba. I have a Aerocool Turbine 120mm fan which is rated at just under 20dba. The Aerocool is quieter than the SilenX fans. I sought advice from a couple of peopl...

I have one of the TruePower 430 power supplies - purchased in 2002 I think. It isn't in a case at the moment just on the floor powering a ghetto setup - Athlon 1400, Gigabyte motherboard, no case fans ( :D ), 20GB HD, graphics card. Kind of a thread resurrection. HaloJones, what other fan have you got in the system that is louder than the X-Pro fan? Re: My impression

The blown air is sprayed outwards from the fan blades and not forwards from the fan which would create a massive dead spot if you tried to blow it towards something :|. It's much more suited to a case airflow position or sucking from a heatsink. ckolivas, you have more or less said it in the above ...

Hi everyone Just a quick question to SPCR forums members in the UK - what are you using as a dust filter for the intake fan?
