Other than fabric stores, are there any other kinds of stores that carry these things? Ebay - or use Stretch Magic instead? And where can I find this Stretch Magic? Fabric store again? My friend said the stuff he sees here are bungie cords, is that right? Check ebay.ca for Stretch Magic - I've just...

Re: Arctic cooling fans? Opinions?
I bought a Scythe Ninja from ebay and the guy included an Arctic 12025 fan - he claimed it was better than the included Scythe fan. On the fan label it states '1500' rpm so I'm not sure if there is another edition of this fan that runs at 1000rpm as linked above. I wasn't impressed with the fan - it...

That's how the first lot of P182 cases were shipped, in P180 boxes. A number of people got them this way.DerLjubljana wrote:Actually, I got one of the p180s with the p182 changes (I ordered a p180 and it came in a p180 box). I'm still not sure what happened with all that, but I'm definitely not complaining.

http://img251.imageshack.us/img251/7456/kuva000qs0.th.jpg Its not pretty. Just prototype. Three 5,25" expansion slots sacrficed for suspensing Scythe QuietDrive that is has Samsung T-166 500gb HDD inside. Regular suspensioning wouldn't probably last 200 grams off hdd and 800+ grams grams of QuietDr...

Any pics (please), I may do the same.StApostol wrote:I combated the problem by adding a slow 8cm fan at the PCI brackets and ducting the northbridge to it, which kept temperatures at 39-45C. The system ran for about a year without showing such problems again (I am now building a fileserver out of it)
Thanks.

I was referring to andyb recommending overclock.co.uk - they've recently changed hands after going bust.

That's correct.loimlo wrote:I heard from SPCR that Yate Loon is a cheap and quiet solution to fans. From SPCR fan roundup article, I know D12SM 12 is sleeve type, and I guess D12BM 12 is ball bearing type. Is it correct?

Greetings to everyone. Im just about to switch to 2.5inh hd in raid 0 for the operating system and just use the 2 old ks hd as storage. Another silent maniac here. :) Well I can clearly hear the HDD in my work notebook. So, in another thread I'm asking, if anybody tried an bit of overkill and used 2,5 and 3,5 Scythe enclosures with one 2,5 HDD... Maybe that would be silent?! Should be silent from what I've read here :) unless it's ...

tbh, the best 2.5" don't need an enclosure to be effectively silent inside a case. (altho for true silent maniacs may be neccesary  ) I may be one of those maniacs ( :) ) - so many times I've read "this drive was silent or that drive was silent and I can't hear a thing", yet if I try the driv...

So, getting a 2.5 Hard drive i would notice a big difference in noise? I can hera my Samsung even though i have it suspended in a Cd rom bay!! From what I've read on here, enclosing a 2.5" drive in an enclosure like the Scythe box will make it silent. I'm thinking of switching myself from Samsung S...

If you're not going to follow MikeC's advice is there any chance you could put the system back in the P180, get a PSU similar to the NeoHE or Noisetaker and remove fans and then use the bottom chamber fan to cool the PSU? MikeC and Devonavar have advised the above and I'm using it in a P180 at the m...

it's been a few months since i swapped the fan in my liberty and i'm still very happy... it's a fairly cheap PSU to begin with, and a $2 yate-loon and a few minutes of labour, puts it in the same league as the SPCR heavyweights (seasonic & corsair). for my money, i think it's the best value out the...

The Nexus site is now updated with pictures of the inside of this case. (Follow the link at the top). So, this case features the same upside-down style mobo placement as the Morpho. However, as the PSU is placed at the bottom the PCI slots are all available, but as there is no fan at the top the GF...
