Bare leads from Coolcases.com?

I recently purchased the 92mm Panaflo L1A "BX" (RPM monitoring) fan from Coolcases.com, but received the fan with 3 bare leads and no 3-pin connector. Is this how the fan should come? Unlike most retailer websites, Coolcases made no mention of the fan coming without a 3-pin connector or "bare leads....

Some suggestions off of the top of my head:

- "I Can Hear Clearly Now" (alluding to song "I Can See Clearly Now"...how corny :D )

- "Dude, You're Getting Some Silence!"

- "Dude, You're Getting Some Ear Plugs!"

- "Pin Drop Silencing"

- "STFU PC" --> I must say, my personal fav. :D

Hey, all. I'm currently using a 92mm L1BX for my CPU cooling fan on a slk-900u hs. I've noticed that at almost all voltage levels, the fan has a pretty good amount of bearing noise. Does anyone have any experience with any other quiet 92mm fans, preferably with RPM sensing? Doesn't the "BX" Panaflo...

if you put your own music on in the background, does the same for your condition apply? It is almost impossible for me to work on anything that requires concentration with ANY type of music on. Yes, genres such as classical are easier to listen to, but I only use them to rejuvenate me and then I ha...

Oh, and BTW, Metaluna: remember that the NB47J should not be used with thermal adhesive on a northbridge and that Zalman does not recommend users to thermally adhere their heatsinks to chipsets with raised dies (commonly on Intel chipsets like your 875 and my 850E). Just wanna caution you before you...

I agree with Fabool's post. In many times, I've found stock heatsinks on mobo chipsets run relatively cool -- that is, until I replace the gum-like thermal material on these heatsinks with some good 'ol AS3. Suddenly, I've found that the better thermal conductivity has made the heatsink significantl...

Just to keep it short and simple for myself, I have a specific learning difference related to ADHD where I cannot focus on intellectually-intensive work with almost any ambient noise -- even the soft whirl of a mini-fridge can prevent me from getting my work done efficiently. I cannot filter out mos...

BTW - I'd doubt that there is a side-mounted cooler (which I'm assuming that you mean the top of the desktop style case) as some users place their monitors on top of the horizontal chassis (design would impede optimal airflow).

Are you sure you're PSU isnt abnormal? All of the other reviews (including MikeC's and Ralf Hutter's recommendations) seem to observe the opposite. I went with "less than one meter," but it could certainly be quieter if I wasn't so addicted to the Hitachi 180GXP's performance (was going for the Cuda IV's before I bought it). :D Its whine (which is very low) easily makes it the loudest component in my system. The drive's seek is very audible as ...

Re: Seasonic Super Tornado 300W back from RMA

The whine is gone now but so is the silent operation. The fan always spin now over 1000rpm and additionally exhibits some clicking. Not sure if this was a good trade. Apparently not. Thanks for the heads up, Mike. Don't think I'll be RMAing my Seasonic PSU anytime soon. It's too bad you didn't have...

Would you say that the 7V-8V 92mm Panaflo on your SLK-900U is quite audible?

You could try to get the Antec 3700bqe, and, assuming that the side panel are the same as the rest of the antec/chieftec design, buy a separate side panel w/ window.

In addition, just realized, if the heatpipes of the SP-94 do not interfere with components on my mobo, should I dole out the extra $16 for the heatsink over the SLK-947U? Would the temp decrease for my situation be worth it?

Ok, the SLK-947U has almost sold me b/c it's only $38 from Newegg with free shipping -- now, my only question is why is it cheaper than the SLK-800's?

Should changing to the SLK-947U and a 92mm Panaflo BX @ 7V like Ralf's setup help noticably decrease my temps?

Btw, is there any legitimate reason why I should consider Thermalright's SP-94 and SLK-947U over the popular SLK-900U?
