Woodden case design - desktop style
Wanted to get some opinions on this, perhaps some advices from people that have attempted this. poor review IMO
another review not silence oriented though ...complaining about too few molexes, as if those things don't cost 50cents at any store, and as if ppl didn't have at least 1 old psu in their closet.

Barton Mobile + Si-97 + 120mmfan=overkill/problems?
I've been seaching the internet, SPCR, and other forums for good deals on my future setup...which is on a really tight budget. I stumbled upon a good deal on 10 yate loons for 4.06$ each, at tekgems and i was wondering if anyone has tried to mount a 120mm fan on SI-97? i don't really wanna buy a 10$...

i'mnot getting quieter drives because my machine is not worth them, i mean i should upgrade the mobo+cpu then take on the challenge of choosing a harddisk. to put it short no money, not any money anytime soon, and buying copper sheets and soldering them at the edges is more cheaper than actually buy...

well the idea started after seeing that picture of a hdd in a bottle of water, and i think fluid absorbs high frequency noises better, haven't done a lot of research on the subject yet. as for the leakage problems, i was planning on building the walls out of copper and soldering them on th edges, so...

Unusual silencing proj idea - enclosed 2x wall custom rack
a few months ago i saw a picture where some guy managed to stick his harddisk drive into a big bottle of water, put the hdd in a plastic bag and filled the bottle with water, as a means of silencing his hdd. when i saw it thought it was off the hook and out of this world, earning the "i'll never do ...
