Thanks for the replies guys. I'm not sure if the card has mounting holes, I'll dig it out and check. Assuming it does, are all such mounting holes pretty standard across graphics cards, or are they all subtly different? Using the Zalman northbridge cooler sounds like a good idea, but would the holes...

Replacement passive sink for a 9550?

Hi, Recently purchased a Sapphire 9550 128MB card which has come with a fan on it. I do notice, however, that many of these cards from other vendors come passively cooled, so I'm presuming I'd have no problem swapping the fan for a passive sink? If so, what would anyone recommend I replace it with? ...

I can confirm that the Sapphire 9550 128MB does indeed have a fan, as I've just got one.

As so many of these cards seem to come without fans, I presume I can replace the stock fan with a passive sink without problems. What would you recommend I use?
