I don't know about the rest of you, but for my case, open is actually worst for temps. I just built a C2D 6300 with a P180B and GigaByte G965-DS3 board. My NB gets very hot - way too hot to touch. I had a clearance problem since I use a Sythic (Infinity - I think the Nija is a better cooler). I use ...

Getting closer
Here are my changes so far based on fellow SPCR members. PS: I will go with the Seasonic and maybe the next model up since I read that it maybe cooler due to larger heatsinks. HD: I will go with a single drive and look into other options. Does anyone know if the 7200.10 250 GB are singe or multi pla...

Wow, setting up dual core is not as easy as the graphical client. I downloaded the Dualie One Click install from OC forum and installed it that way. It set up two folders with seperate clients but for some reason it did not set different machine IDs. I had to change that manually after finding out ...

I think the neat thing about it is that you should be able to mount it with the heatpipes pointing in any direction, so you've got four different directions to point the thing, to avoid obstructions and get the fins in some airflow. But people buying it will certainly want to spend some time with t...

I can't say for sure. I had a lot of problems setting up 2 consoles etc., but I know that my temperatures went up when I installed the dual core driver... Guys/Gals remember that to run the client in multiple core, you need to: 1.) have a folder for each. I have FAH1, FAH2, FAH3, and FAH4. 2.) in e...

I don't think they are blocking the site. I could get to stanford site just fine. I think is a port or maybe my proxy setting. There is a script that runs as part of the proxy in the IE settings but no place to put that script in F@H. It would be an issue with my managers since the machines are mana...

It's a Sapphire 9800 Pro 128mb. The orginal heatsink had a lot of paste on it and it got on some of the exposed resistor (?) on the GPU. I'm wonder if that has anything to do with it. I have also run ATI tool on it and got worse as I underclock it. It would not pass the artifact test running into pr...

My biggest problem w/ these pumps are that it is direct drive. If the seal on the shaft wears out, your pump is gone. This is one of the reason why a lot of people use Eheim and that is the reason why the Eheim is larger and can only produce the same amount of lift as the c-system pump. This is also...

I am sure the one heatsink will handle the heat w/ a unvolt 80 fan on it. The original hs is less than half the size of one of the Zalman sink. With the 80 fan, it shouldn't have any problem. My concern is if the heat pipe will be able to take all the heat to the back hs so it could be cool. My gues...

ZM80A with just the back heatsink?
I am trying to fit a 9800Pro into my Shuttle 45G case and the front heat sink of the ZM80A is getting in the way. I was thinking if I can get away w/ just running the back sink w/ some kind of large-slow (80mm) fan? How much heat can the heat pipe transfer? Is it better to just use the old active he...

Recommend a drive for SATA raid 0?
I am thinking about putting together a new system. I want a raid 0 in SATA. Can someone recommend a drive? I don't care if it is slower because of raid 0. Size doesn't matter (yes I said it! Size doen't matter).
So here is what I'm looking for:
- SATA
- Cool (thinking about enclosing)
- Quiet
