Yeah, I was thinking, oooh Hexus did something good... But from what I managed to see - during the great Slashdotting, it seems the review was off the usual Hexus quality. Lot's of sensationlism, the old standby of British tabloid journalism.

My new 250GB SATA Samsung with a Nidec motor isn't particularly quiet - at least compared to my old 160 PATA samsungs. I've mounted the drive in a NoVibes, which is placed in the bottom of a P180 on the supplied grommets. No different to normal P180 mounting. I've got a spare SmartDrive so I'm going...

The biggest problem is, that most fridges aren't designed to run continously. If you study your fridge, you'll notice that the pump switches on, and switches off after a while.
