I am using a WD Green 2tb drive in an external enclosure w/ esata, for silly (temporary) reasons I also have the OS on there (been like that for a month). no problems yet.

Keen to hear what you find out, I am looking at this board, but with 2/3xWD green 2tb's and 1*WD scorpio blue as an OS drive (with the greens running off a PCI expansion card)

any comment on what application it is? then we can guage what kind of CPU/gpu you require
