Re: Mounting a fan in 5 25 slots
I thought about it too. If I don't find any adapter, that's what I will do. Mb, I will even ditch the standard adapter and put two 140mm fans. Just need to think of a good way to suspend or fix them.

Well, it could work, but in Germany it is even more expensive than that Xigmatek thing. Anything else?

2-pin VGA fan connector & normal fans?
Hi guys! I have recently installed an Accelero S1 with Turbo module on my 6850. The problem is that I have 4 channels on my fan controller and 5 fans, so I have to use a splitter what messes up readings. I was wondering if I could connect the Turbo module (it has normal 3-pin connector) to the old 2...

Mounting a fan in 5 25 slots
Hi guys! I have this case ( http://www.ingame.de/files/2010/10/rs-9-red-devil-lüfter-vor-hdd.jpg ) and think it would be nice to fit another fan at the front. The problem is that I am not entirely sure how to do it. Of course, there are HDD cages like http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N...

http://en.expreview.com/2010/11/15/90°-rotationhow-to-install-heatpipe-cooler/11843.html/6 People have tested few VGA coolers in vertical position here. It all comes down pretty much to whether the heatpipes run vertically or horizontally. If vertically - the coolers don't work (MK13, AC Xtreme), if...

Re: Raven 2 / Fortress 2 vs aftermarket GPU coolers
I can confirm that Accelero S1 runs great in the FT02. I have it on XFX 6850 with Turbo module and temps are amazing at idle and load. At idle temps are ~29-32C with the 180mm fans on ~400 rpm and all other fans on like 5V or so. At 70 cm the PC is silent. (On load the temps seem to be like up to 60...

Re: HD6850 Passive by PowerColor!!!!!!
Looks amazing, but I trust the passive cards from manufacturers no more after my 5750 reached 100C under Furmark within 4 minutes, despite good cooling. Nothing will beat the Accelero S1 I got on my 6850.

Scratches on the case. Way to deal with it.
Hi guys! I have put a side panel of my FT02 on the floor with its face down while routing cables behind the mobo tray and then accidentally moved. Now there are few scratches that are not so noticeable under normal conditions, but are apparent if light falls on them. Doesn't really bother me much, b...

Re: Sapphire Radeon HD 6850 very silent and not even vapor-x
Why not just get a 6850 with the cheapest cooler possible and then install Accelero S1 on it? It will probably cost approximately 30 Euros with Turbo module and memory heatsinks, but you will get much better performance. The premium you guys pay for an overclocked VGA with some fancy cooler is exact...

Re: Can't decide between P183 and Fortress 2, advice?
if the pci slots are so off, maybe you want to return it and just get another sample? mine seem to be fine, maybe the soundcard is a bit off. personally, i find the psu hole positioning no big deal. if they put it somewhere else, i am sure that plenty of people with some other PSUs would be mad abou...

Re: Scythe Slipstreams OK for horizontal mounting?
Btw, can anything bad happen to the fans, if I run them on veeeeery low RPM? I run my 1200 PWM Slipstream on 550 RPM and the Air Penetrators too. I think it is not even 5V, 4.5V maybe. Will the lifespan be shorter?

Re: Mount a Fan on 5750 silent cell
For how long did you run the Furmark test? I assume no less than 15 minutes and you get maximum 75 (seventy five) degrees? HOW? I have a Club3D 5750 passive (same as powercolor) and I get close to 100C after 15 minutes having a huge fan blowing along the card. How do you get 75C max???!!! BTW, what ...

Scythe Slipstreams OK for horizontal mounting?
I am wondering if Slipstreams are OK for horizontal mounting. They have sleeve bearing, but I have read multiple opinions about it, so I am not entirely sure. If not, what would be a good alternative (please, no gentle typhoons).

Well, what they say is basically that new cards are better performance-wise and quieter, BUT with higher temps and TDP's.I cannot make out though, how exactly a card can be quieter, having higher TDP (and temps not going through the roof).

VGA heatsink fins position (along/across) relevant?
Hi! I think of placing an aftermarket heatsink on my future 6850, but... I have a fan blowing ALONG the VGA (from the power connector to the PCI slot; FT02 case) and most of the heatsinks have fins placed across the VGA, so that the case airflow cannot pass through them. The only good heatsink with ...

Re: Which case(s) with
Silverstone Fortress FT02. Three (3) 180 mm intake fans and one 120 exhaust fan. Steel unibody case. Provides plenty airflow. But is kinda pricey. However, to be honest, you don't really need a huge fan to keep your PC quiet. It all depends on the components as well (no case will silence a loud HDD,...

Well, the cables may be kinda short, but you can use some adapters. It definitely should not be the deciding factor. And no other case will keep you HDD's as cool as FT02.

Re: josephclemente's Lian Li PC-A05NB + Blow hole-cooled HD5
Awesome, awesome build. Probably, the only one I truly envy after I did mine with FT02. Now I want to make the next build with this case. Just need to come up with an idea how to make those holes in the top panel without injuring myself or demolishing the case.

Scythe Kaze Master Ace WTF readings?!
Hi all! I have recently purchased a Scythe Kaze Master Ace controller on ebay and connected my 4 fans to it. It works fine, but there are two problems: 1) The fan RPM speeds are inaccurate. Sometimes they are correct, sometimes not, usually they don't react to fan speed changes. 2) I noticed that th...

How many devices can hang on one MOLEX?
Hi, guys! I am using a molex extension cable and have many devices attached to it (each device has a "molex tail", a Y-cable, so that I can attach one more to it and so on). My question is how many devices can I power up with one cable? Is there any limitation; should I use the PSU cables rather tha...

The noise out of the top is something I was considering. The noise is of less concern to me when under a gaming scenario, as I tend to use headphones when gaming anyway. I'm more worried about noise when I'm doing something that would tend to keep everything at idle temperatures - writing, browsing...
