Stop using Furmark to record temperatures and live happily, that's what I did.
Crysis gets my 5850 highest temps around 20° lower than Furmark or OCCT. If that game doesn't warm my card up that much, I'm pretty sure I'm fine, as no man could create a game that will do it!

If silence is a goal, then the slight price premium on a 2.5" vs 3.5" 500 GB drive (like 20$ at the moment?) is well worth it. You might consider getting a 2.5" 5400rpm drive for additional reduction in noise as well as a big reduction in power/self heating. And a massive hit on capacity and price/...

You might consider getting a 2.5" 5400rpm drive for additional reduction in noise as well as a big reduction in power/self heating. And a massive hit on capacity and price/GB. Here where I live, for the price of a 320 GB Scorpio blue (which is just enough for OP's collection), one can get a new 1 T...

I knew the 5870 didn't fit as-is! And yet you contradicted me. The dual 2,5" mount is just sick. It's really meant to be there! And I've never seen such a meticulous job on cabling. I don't like the new 480 btw. If you needed more performance, the 5870 could have been safely overclocked to muc...

I don't like this cooler. Focuses on gpu temperatures and lets the rest of the card go to hell, literally. At least the T-Rad, when paired with two fans, gives plenty airflow to the rest of the card (and is the only one that could block just one extra slot , which is something that everyone overlook...

The best 140mm fans available are the Noiseblocker PK (not XK) ones. There just isn't anything better than that around.

The Mini P180 review has some insights on the BigBoy 200mm fan. Its effective frame size is 200x230mm, so it should be equivalent in size to some Coolermaster's stock fans and should be a suitable and quieter replacement.
As for 140mm fans, I too vote for a round-up.

Some HD6350 screens are circulating the web. For me, the most interesting things one can see in them is the low profile and vapor chamber passive cooler. Pure awesome, I don't need it to be faster than a 4550 now.

You don't need more power. Only getting two 4870x2 or GTX 295/480 (or some triple video cards...) will overload that psu. With this setup, you're probably pulling about 500 watts or little more from your PSU.

Scythe Setsugen should fit, otherwise simply try lowering fan speed, these cards can withstand 80+ degrees wth ease if you don't ned overclocking.

If price and space are of no concern, you should really consider a Thermalright AXP-140 instead of this. It's the best top-down cooler available. Its only alternative might be the Noctua C12P or C14P, or the Cogage MST if you don't need AMD compatibility.

Just get standard height modules (avoid things like Corsair Dominators, OCZ HPCs, G.Skill PI and so on) and you'll be fine.

Nothing quick to do, really. Get a 300 and you won't regret it!
Btw, even a CoolerMaster Elite will be much, much better than your current one, so if you can find one cheap, go get it. Just by swapping the side panels you'll improve its acoustics too, airflow won't suffer much.

What kind of setup are you planning to get? I really doubt the 100w difference will be of any importance.
Anyway, any PSU will be quieter than any SLI setup, so you shouldn't be that worried about its noise, just get the best one for the price you're willing to spend.

The S1 vomits all of the video card heat inside the case, so it needs good case airflow. You may try 2x Arctic F2 PWM 92mm, you get better airflow coverage on the card than if using a single 120mm unit. They can be daisy chained on a single PWM header, are cheap, reliable and of good quality. They a...

Velociraptor! The ultimate speed in mechanical HDDs. Also extremely reliable and quiet. Used ones go for dirt cheap. 8)
Just make sure to get either the BLFS ("naked") one or the HLFS (backplane-ready) one. GLFS means bad for noise.
