Just until someone more knowledgeable in sound characteristics replies, dB and dBa are different things. db is not the same thing as dba. A dba is a measurement to more accurately measure the loudness, db is the log based measurement which isn't what you think. EG 30db is not double the noise of 15d...

Sorry to hear you guys are having problems. I have a Sapphire 4830 with S1 and 120mm fan perpendicular to it. 28/42 on core. The only thing i can come up with is its Powercoolers fault. Perhaps they cheaped out on the vrms or whatever manages the power distribution. But i agree with shleepy, even 75...

I just installed the card into my system and its 31 at idle. This is with the S1 but i have a yate loon perpendicular to it on my hard drive cage (P180). The OCCT load was 52 on the core. Pretty good A quick tip about the ram sink that doesnt fit under the heatpipe, you can bend away the fins so the...

I will definitely consider that BEnq, but I was thinking more of a 16:10. Also since I dont have the best video card, I will be forced to use lower resolutions in games. On my current 19" 4:3 , I go down to 1024x768 on some games. I know that I am missing some action, but I prefer better game experi...

Still haven't purchased anything. I just saw the Viewsonic VA2226w for $130 after rebate, and that seems like a pretty good price. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3329362&csid=ITD&body=REBATES I saw that in the monitor noise sticky only 1 user commented abo...

Fan finger grill choice
I received a catalog of tech parts and 1 page had finger guards. My question; which would be the least air restrictive (i know that the difference would be tiny, but still). http://img82.imageshack.us/img82/9983/84736770wt9.gif http://img82.imageshack.us/img82/84736770wt9.gif/1/w381.png I was thinki...

I have an LG W2252TQ 22" TFT Monitor and I couldn't be happier with it! It was cheap at just £154 inc. VAT and it has everything I want from a monitor. It has both a VGA and DVI connector which is real useful and it has some really neat features like the 4:3 in wide function which allows you to ha...

Thanks everyone, I'll do some more research on xbit, trustedreviews, and newegg. I was really just considering a 22" because a 24 would take up too much desk space. As for the resolution while gaming issue, i can just scale down, and probably will have to because I only have a 8600gt oc'd. I previou...
