You can read about the DA-2 and whick pin/wire goes where and why in the Antec NSK1300 with PW-200-V DC-DC and Akasa Evo-120 thread. Ahh, that is awesome! Explains everything! I should have known that some time ago. Then your connector wouldn't have been that mysterious, lol. :) He he. Why didn't y...

Mine has some special plug, but I have no idea where it came from. Maybe AuraAllan, whom I bought the PSU from knows? I made it from an ATX cable extender. The female end. 8 pins from the female plug matches the 8 pins on the DA-2 bricks plug. Here it is. Pretty, huh? http://img.photobucket.c...

Have you tried blocking the fangrill below the PSU? Not yet. It's one of 5 real intake areas in this system. I need to try different configurations with blocking grills and also with some foam. Sounds good. And removing the PCI cover just below the GFX-card? The cover has been replaced with a vente...

Great setup. Way to recycle. Have you tried blocking the fangrill below the PSU? And removing the PCI cover just below the GFX-card? I think that would help the airflow in your case. If the harddrive is really quiet you could take it out of the caddy and softmount it in a 5.25" bay with some stretch...

Hello A build like my old build might be a good option for you. Not much modding required. - Remove original PSU - Cut fan grill in back (not really required) - Remove drive bay to make room for huge heatsinks. A Shuttle strikes me as somewhat hard to mod for better cooling but im not sure if it can...

I like Thermalright because they make a quality product and sell it successfully without resorting to gimmicky and boyish marketing techniques. Their plain brown cardboard packaging is excellent presentation: let the product speak for itself. I can do without all the ridiculous cartoon/anime/mythol...

Thermalright HR-01 3U
"Compatability: Intel Xeon : 5000 Series,7000 Series. (Socket 603,Socket 604,Socket 771)"
Being only for Xeon sockets I don't see it as a Minja "killer".
A 2U socket AM2+LGA775 version would be great, I think.

All you have to do is look at the comments on Newegg to see that most of the cons about any given mini board is that it doesn't have a full PCI-E slot. It might have something to with that simple connector needing 75W of power available to it. And the fact that most new GFX card are longer then a m...

My thoughts exactly.m0002a wrote:Electrical tape is fine, and it provides insulation so it is certainly safe. But I don't know of any electrical tape that does not leave a stickey mess when you take it off.
All the different types of electrical tape I have ever used left sticky stuff on the wires afterwards.

According to Cooler Master's web site, the 341 weighs less than the 340. 341: Net weight : 3.3 kg (7.28 lb); Gross Weight : 4.4 kg (9.7 lb) 340: Net Weight: 4.2 kg (9.26 lb); Gross Weight: 5 kg (11.02 lb) The 340 is already a razor-thin metal case. I wonder what they did to reduce the weigh...
