Re: New build, computer won't boot.

first try reset cmos setting on the mobo, usually there is a jumper that u can short them with a piler or screwdriver then remove all items from mobo except cpu and ram if comp doesn't boot, replace your ram, with a stick that is proved working on another computer if comp still doesn't boot, replace...

thanks Badger So I'd say your temps are pretty reasonable considering it's oc'd to 2.8GHz. As far as that thermalright kit, I dont know, but I do know the bolt-thru kit works quite well and is quite cheap. Something I'd like to add is that amazingly, somehow, the heatpipes of my Ninja never get hot....

Check to see if your bracket is being blocked by capacitors like mine. If it's clearing the bracket, check the thermal paste spread when you take your heatsink off. If it's terrible, grab the kit for sure! heya, the clearance/imprint were good before i put it in the case i think it's very likely du...

Thermalright LGA775 RM works with Scythe Ninja PLUS Rev.B?

30 min of blended orthos pushed my pentium e2140 @2.8GHz to 68'c (reported in easytune) ~ 72'c (reported in core temp), with a Scythe Ninja PLUS Rev.B. the idle temp is 35'c (reported in easytune) ~ 45'c (reported in core temp) my case has a nexus 120 mm in the back, the stock scythe fan pluged into...

No more stuttering TV tuners! lol u gotta hate that how your temp now? and which software do you use to check your t...

There are a number of reviews showing that the E2140 overclocks quite a bit less than the E2160 although how typical this is is hard to ascertain. Here’s one at Xbitlabs. i suppose the "better" chips might be marked E2160 but it's really like a lotto. think i saw (might be dreaming..) a pic E2140...

Looks like I was lucky when I did a quick test. :( gl on that might try manual but set your ram lower, n...

why not just 2 pc. HTPC and media server sounds same to me. all you need on your P4 system is probably a new video card - ya 8500GT will do.

1) Swap the Phantom for a Seasonic S12 430/500. 2) Put the PSU inside the case and probably add another Nexus to lower my HDD/CPU/GPU temperatures. try 2 first, it won't hurt.
