the heatsink of zalman 7700 is a good design, just let down by the fan

even with additional purchase of a Nexus real silent 120mm fan, total cost still cheaper than Thermalright XP-120 heatsink alone.

a passive cooled 6600GT is definitely quieter than vga silencer at low. suspend HD, as well as setting AAM to 192 or lower could help a little, especially for seek noise. other than that, i can't see anything better in Ur new setup, accoustic wise. the 3000+ Winchester i got can run 9*222/223 aka 32...

i set mine on Low on 2D stuff, and turn to High during games.
