Re: Overclocked GeForce4 ti4200 silenced by Panaflo @5V cool

Just made it in about an hour! Using Gainward "Golden Sample" ti4200 128MB. (Pictures below:) Barely consumes 2 PCI slots. I won't be spending $47 on that Zalman fanless cooler, especially since it requires lower case temps. That's a nice mod. I would like to make my MSI GF4Ti quieter too but I can...

Haven't got any 60s, but do have 75s. They are MUCH noiser than 'cudas, especially in the highs. 'cudas hardly have any whine at all; the IBMs have lots. Sek noise can be dramatically reduced with software - check under links/software. I just tried the IBM Drive Feature software, and dramatic is ce...

I took out both the fans in my enermax and replaced the 92mm with a Papst, running at 5 volts. My PSU runs just fine, and has for several months with this setup. The exhaust air is alittle warmer than stock, but not much so. hi Rusty, how would you describe the noise on your Enermax with the Papst?

IBM GXP60 vs any other HD

Has anyone compared the noise of the IBM GXP60 harddrive with any other drives, say Seagates? I have the IBM now but I recently noticed its noise.

I think so, actually I'm in the process of doing that.

Actually I would appreciate some feedback too: do you all recommend replacing the 92mm or the 80mm fan? I'm thinking of getting rid of both factory fans and use just one.

Re: Radeon 8500 with cooler-mounting-holes? (for Zalman ZM-8

Hello everyone, can anyone tell me which Radeon 8500 Boards actually have two holes around the VPU? I would like to use the new Zalman ZM-80 Heatpipe VGA Cooler on my PowerMagic 8500LE card but I had to find out that it didn't feature any cooler-mounting holes at all... So can anyone tell me which ...

I prefre the likes of AX7, PAL8045, MCX462, and SLK-800 with a undervolted panaflo 80mm for their even lower noise and slightly better cooling, and better clip. Have you personally compared noise levels between Zalman and any of these? I have the Zalman, it's fairly quiet to me but I can always use...

Re: My Enermax EG365P-VE is different than the one in the ar

IE, it is a fail-safe function, designed to ensure a fairly high airflow should one of the 2 fans stops completely. Not exactly noise-friendly, is it? You are right, I noticed that when I took off the 9mm fan. I'm not too satisfied with this purchase of the Enermax. MikeC, I see that you are from V...
