Re: Samsung Spinpoint P 120 SP2504C - quick question re: noi
Hi, I am using the 250GB Spinpoint P120 SP2504C as my OS drive, and can really notice the seek and read/write noise above the rest of my PC's components (FYI I have a pretty quiet Silverstone SG01 with 2 fans set low and a quiet PSU). Can anyone tell me if hearing these seek noises are normal or wh...

Re: Asus MB and Noctua Fan Control?
I am building a high ending gaming PC based on Antec Sonata III enclosure with Asus P5N32-E SLI motherboard. I have decided to add the Noctua 120mm fan (NF-S12-1200) to the front of the case for additional cooling. I am new to the whole "controlled fan" concept. Will this motherboard adjust this fa...

My bZerk fan was a little broken I think, it was unbalanced (that happens) but I could shut of the fan with the provided fancontroller. I don't have a clue on what V that was but not below 8V. Not sure if those LEDs did anything to that The 35dBA is all airrush, even at the high V i was forced to ru...

This can hardly be correct, but according to what I was once taught, the second should add 3dB, the 3rd and 4rd another 3dB, 5-8 another 3dB, 9-16 another 3dB, 17-32 another 3, 33-64 another 3. Since there's 70 in there, I'll stop there. So, according to that, it's only as noisy as one fan + 18. No...

I wasn't thinking of the sides but the top, between the HDD and graficcard. Since your box is made of copper it should transfer heat rather good to a heatsink placed whereever there is room :) Acctually that works nomather but you should gain some advantage with your present copper. Nice temps :) Th...

I'm not clear on how reversing the airflow will somehow mean nothing gets cooled.....the air will take the same path just in reverse, all the components will cooled just in the reverse order[/quote] For a 80mm fan type then yes but for 120mm fan I drawed a nice pic: http://hem.bredband.net/gabsta/B...

To acheive the 21db or similar do I need a fan controller or temperature sensing software ? If it's not supplied then it shouldn't be needed but in reality you will need it to get to that level. Except for Scythe Ninja plus (I think) Shown dB is usualy incorrect or measured in an incorrect and poin...
