You can also get them at www.noiseblocker.de for about the same price. They recently became a bit more foreign order friendly (parts of their site have english versions and I think they deliver outside germany) UK peeps can get these fans from www.ultim8pc.co.uk and the prices I guess are ok. I'd lo...

I've been running burnP6 for about an hour now. The rpm sensor is not connected but the fan voltage is 8.5 V. Exhaust temp is around 42 C. The fan seems to be performing well enough. So that's about 1400 rpm or about 21 cfms.. that's a respectable airflow. Temps are o.k. too I guess.. not sure what...

....The YS TECH is otherwise very quiet but it puts out a high pitched whine that is REALLY driving me up the wall, now... What kinds of fan speeds are being reported? How hot is the exhaust air and the case around the PSU? Maybe you're not getting enough air and it's having to run it at full speed...

It all depends on which circuit you use - circuit 2 is really quite simple.. 3 minutes work for an accomplished eletronic engineer.. maybe a bit more for someone less experienced.. Circuit five is also a relatively simple circuit.. it needs a few more bits and uses different pins on the 3112. That r...

Coming back to the question of whether you need 400W.. hmm.. comparing the Nexus to a Seasonic Super Silencer 400 the only power difference is in the 12V line.. correct me if I'm wrong (anyone?) but the 12V is used predominantly for HDDs. Given AUdiOMAN's proposed system, I'd say 400W is a safer ch...

Still no definitive answers but just some more linkage.. I found a review of the NX-3500 .. the conclusion (in case you don't read French) is that it's not bad, not the best though but a good middle ground between power and noise. They also say it's very similar to the Fortron FSP350-60PN (PF). Comi...

I can't help much.. but I'm wondering.. why do you need 400W? Anyway, something to consider (but these aren't recommendation...

Re: Modded PSU

The reason I took out the 92mm.. .. I can afford to have less airflow going into the PSU, since that air won't be very warm (my average case temperature near the cpu/gpu/chipset is around 28C. ..The 92mm being taken out of the PSU also makes a very good pathway for the air to go through the PSU. ho...

For the hard drive.. power down, disconnect power lead to drive, power up. Listen. Repeat with drive connected. The Mark I ear is an amazing instrument, when calibrated properly. Alternatively put the computer into suspend mode (if you've got it - should be in the same dialog as logout/power-down)....
