Well, I have thought about the same thing.

I've got one myself - with a Hitachi T7K250 w/ AAM
Barely audible, but wondering if it could be less, it is the loudest thing in my computer :P

Nice build mate!

Probably a thumb down for the colour of the drive and the solo, my drive matches the colour of my P180 :) (It's a Sony 720)

And I never tried (Australian) Pale Ale??

You Know Newcastle Brown I guess :P :P

@ Chris Chan: I've had the Big Typhoon CPU-cooler and it dissappointed me. although it was the best (read: low-airflow) cooler at the time together with the Thermalright XP-90, the build-quality was kind off a mess. Now-days I know that it's typical for Thermaltake-products. I now use a Ninja, it's ...

Lian-Li is beautiful in quality, but their engineering-ideas are pretty-much the bottom of society.. Why don't they make the PSU cool the HDD's in a seperate chamber - like the P180 from Antec. Some things are good about Lian-Li, but for quietness and engineering-dreams made reality, see...

Hey, I don't know how much drives you've got and the models, But modern drives have got a max. operating temp. of 55 degrees centigrade. Obviously that is the very highest. I've got a Seasonic S-12 430 spinning in the lower chamber, Which keeps my Hitachi T7K250 under 47 at load with ambient tempera...

Nice thing it is. I like the absurd heatsink! I don't like the looks though. I'm not a fan of perforated metal. Although it's by far the best looking wooden case I've seen, it quite doesn't match the closed (read: dustfree) look of the P180. Still good engineering here, congratulations!! (I'm ...

Lame - Antec P180 copy-paste from Lian Li :-|

Check this out... :x

Very sad that it isn't looking better than the Antec. Also the Antec is more promising in airflow/noise-reduction

(random thought about Lian-Li: "You suck soo hard!!")

Hey, I was a Centurion 5-owner once.. Then I got myself the P180. Noise-wise there is no discussion possible - the coolermaster really sucks there. Easy resonance, open front and a hard-mounted HDD-cage are a real trouble. Also it lets in a great amount of dust. MUCH more then my P180 now (even thou...

Hmm seeing the results, I say that it is not developed for low airflow..

As quiet as possible you get the temps lower with a Ninja, sounds pretty weird to me. On the other hand - the Ninja owns.

Don't know what to think here, maybe more reviews..

Hi, have started another topic with this but here you are:

XFX is going to sell PASSIVE 7950GS/T-ards, look cool and silent.

Further is my experience with XFX that the support is good and that those crads can overclock pretty awsome!

Passive high-end: XFX GeForce7950GS/T

I came across this:

XFX is going to bring passive stuff at high end..
Really attractive for gamers who don't want an extra fan in their case.

I thought this plays near the 7900GTX in performance.
And out of experience I can tell that XFX-cards overclock pretty good.

De HDD-coolers zijn een beetje overkill (of de fan :) ). Verder best wel stoere build, alhoewel zou een seasonic PSU (a la 430W - de stilste) het geluidsniveau ongetwijfeld omlaag brengen..
