1. The SP-97 fits with about a centimeter between it and the power supply. 2. The stock hard drive mounts are pretty quiet. They use larger grommets than the Antec Sonata. You need to buy the grommets separately, and you need to make screws for mounting the hard drives out of a motherboard standoff ...

If the heat doesn't get to the heatsink, the heatsink will not get hot, and the heat will stay at the CPU.

Different sensors are probably being used.

I used needlenose pliers to cut out the guard on this case, but I held the pliers a bit too tight, so my thumb hurt for a few days afterwards. It's still good if you don't feel like getting a better tool. I ripped out the 80mm first, and I may rip out more of it later. If you rip out too much, you c...

I've read that they're bad for heatsinks because they have bad static pressure, but they can't be too bad because they're used in power supplies. I have never used one, however, so I can't be sure.

Evercool Aluminum VS Plastic

Why do people always get the Evercool Aluminum fans rather than the plastic Evercool fans?

Thanks

I've had that problem before. Here's how you fix it: Find the middle of the bottom of the front of the frame. There is normally a company logo there. Turn your hand upwards; if your arm is horizontal, your fingers should be vertical. Place the part of your hand that is below the palm on the area tha...

Fan for SP-97

I currently have a Panaflo 12L on my SP-97. I would like to replace it with a quiet 92mm fan. I am thinking about these four fans: Panaflo M1B from Jab-Tech* Panaflo L1A from Directron* Evercool plastic Evercool aluminum Globe B/S07138812L ** *I do not know for sure where the M1B's from Jab-Tech and...

While I don't know how much the difference is, I know that I got a good CPU from Newegg.

The CPU was a mobile 2600+, which I got the week before Easter. I don't remember the stepping, but it's stable at 200Mhz x 9.5 at 1.35v according to the original BIOS on my NF7-S V2.

Two problems

I have a Tempur-pedic mattress. Here are two problems: 1. It absorbs heat extremely well. When I cover it with a blanket, it can stay warm from my body heat for days. This may raise the ambient temperatune. 2. When I put my ear in contact with the bed and cover my other ear with the Tempur-pedic pil...
