The major benefit with hairs or wires is that they are flexible and can be bent and attached to other things easilly. This means that you can make a heatsink that attaches to the chassi for instance. And you can attach another heatsink on the chassis, thereby making a huge heatsink without putting ...

After some thinking I almoust sure I'll go with the Zalman zm80C hp because: - the fan on the vga silencer could get bad after a while - theres still a fan compared to no fan on the zalman ( I have sufficient airflow) - I dont think that removing the heat will make such a big difference anyway cuz t...

Cooling Software
Hi, I used to have some software called VCool on my previous computer (with via chipset). This software was actually able to lower the cpu and ambient temps by some degrees. It disconnects the NB and something I can't remember. But the problem is they haven't got an update yet to support nforce moth...

Putting a Panaflo or Papst fan on the VGA Silencer would defeat the purpose of buying it. Its specially-shaped fan and built-in duct gets the GPU heat out of the case. Without the fan duct, it would easily be bested by the much larger Zalman cooler. I would wait on making a purchase until MikeC doe...

watch out, there are still a lot of problems... Nvidia says they are still waiting for the support from the motherboard companies to adjust there program to their BIOS and stuff like that. Thats why the advanced tab is not working. But i've heard a guy of which it is working (he has an abit nf7s v2 ...

well, I couldnt stand the noise any longer. Today I did the bungeecord trick but with stuff I had lying around. It helped a lot. Seems that the chieftec box where you put your HD in multiplies the noise. I'll take some pictures if anybody is intrested btw: I used some sort of isolating cord. It's no...

Seagate Barracuda ST3120026AS sound solution?
I have the drive mentioned in the title. That's the seagate 120gb sata with a very loud seek noise . As I really start to hate the noise I was wondering if there is any solution to this like a silentdrive 2002 or some DIY solution? But I still need sufficiant cooling for that drive (now I have...
