unfortunately my gtx 260 died a couple of days ago, i can't check it out :-/

i'm guessing that the gtx260 does not send audio thru any video port, you have to run ati 5xxx, or a newer nvidia card, and then you'd need to know if the tv can decode the audio.

you are using the second monitor for htpc? hook up the spdif port on your motherboard, to your receiver.

you shouldn't have to lay the case down in order to slide on the side panels.

it sounds like the hooks aren't lined up properly with the holes.

i suspect that you'll get it figured out with a bit of practice.

i would try maxing out the p182 before throwing money at a new case... as in, put 4 fans in the upper compartment, maybe in a positive pressure setup, then see what you get with the new video card.

will you be overclocking the video card?

that looks like a sweet build, and you have plenty of space between the video cards. my sli rig also had a similar temp differential between the video cards, and i ended up going with the ft02 case, which helped a lot, but did not fully equalize the temps. you could put a 25mm fan on the top card, b...

the big ft-02 fans are nice, no question about it, you can't duplicate that airflow vs. noise vs. gpu temp situation with a p183.

i ran an almost identical setup, including the indigo extreme. when you first fired it up, no cooler fans on, the cpu temp should have pegged at 100 degrees, which is the thermal limit set by the cpu, you should have seen that on your temp monitoring software... it stays at 100 degrees until the com...

i do a lot of video editing, i own both cases, the p183 is the way to go for this purpose... it's quieter, and it's a higher-quality build.

these low-end video cards don't have much in the way of cuda capability, i would go cheap and fanless, then replace it in a year or so.

thanks for the feedback on the fan voltages. i would say that the noise with the grills cut out is slightly less, and maybe different in nature... if you have a nice die grinder, it's worth it, but in my case, i invested over $80 for the grinder and the long flexible extension snout... i pulled out ...

i'm using one on a 120mm fan, i actually haven't tried to match it up with a 140mm fan, but that's a good point.

i would hack out the plastic frame, if it was blocking the airflow... leave just enough plastic to mount the fan.
