Re: What to do while waiting for the wiki

(Might also take a peek at the Wikipedia quiet PC entry. It could benefit from some more attention.) It has really come a long way in the past year, but there is one problem relating to it, there don't seem to be a lot of links on other entries that lead to it. And there seems to be a lot of pages ...

If apple sold their OS separately, it wouldn't perform as well, it wouldn't be as secure or glitch free, and maybe it would mean less funding for deve...

Err, sorry about that, it wasn't a very good choice of image to use.

but I would not personally pay 200-600$ extra for a diesgn and a Apple logo on my computer, especially knowing I can't play much games with it. That's the price of the OS, the well regarded support, and all of that sort of crap. Microsoft isn't much less shy about charging it either, except that th...

Ughh, sorry about that, you have a good point about how even if you were to make that concession, that still wouldn't do much in defense of religion; I just felt that, especially with certain angles from which you can look at the issue in mind, that would be a very generous concession to make.

First off I'll warrant that religion, specifically the Christian faith, has been the source of the current moral compass in Western society That's preposterous. Religion is not the source of any of the things it claims to be. Religion is all about taking credit. For anything it can. "You owe me for...

Still, in my university, almost all students in hard computer sciences are guys. When I studied Information Technology, there were quite a few ladies there (about 1/6). That's very reminiscent of how almost everyone in linguistics, 5/6 at the very least, is female. That's funny, while I was watchin...

However just the other day I noticed that a lot of people pretty much frown upon me for wanting to acquire knowledge (?) or invest in such a masculine/testosterone driven hobby. Oh, I wouldn't say it's all that masculine a hobby. To illustrate in a sort of round about way, here's what I look like.....

Umm, you'll have to look around at computer stores, preferably overclocking focused ones, but you won't be able to just find stuff that claims to be loud, that would just be senseless. You'll have to understand what exactly makes PCs quiter, and do the inverse. If you want a case that'll make it muc...

All this bullshit focused around marriage is actually one reason, probably a very big one, that I'm single all this fucking time.
