Anyone got any long-term impressions of the Aspire X-Qpack?

Also, how's the fit and finish of the case and how silent is the 60 mm fan in the psu?

Problem is, I would like to use this to build an audio server and thus would like a very large, very quiet hard drive.

Also, from what I've read, I thought the psu fan spinning up was the rate limiting step in achieving a silent build?

Do you think this Antec Aria build will be silent?

From what I've read, the main criticism of the Aria is that the psu fan spins up too quickly and becomes audible. Do you think this Aria build would essentially be silent?" Is it hardwired to the Antec power supply or does it get power from a mobo fan header?

Hi Bluecan:

Do you know that for a fact?

I was thinking about trying the Nexus ones but these would be a lot cheaper.

Can I use a 92 x 32 fan on a Thermalright XP-90?

I think the answer is yes, but I would like to confirm that the clips on a Thermalright XP-90 will accept a 32 mm deep 92 mm fan.

I also own an Antec Sonata and tried to undervolt the stock exhaust fan at 5V. Very, very quiet, but the case would quickly heat up, even under minimal load.

You may want to try front and rear 120 mm fans (two Globe 120 fans, undervolted to 5 or 6 V).

I own a 7700 AlCu and a 7000B Cu.

I've noticed that the aluminum fins of the 7700 are much more likely to resonate than the copper fins on the 7700.

Is this also true on the 7000 AlCu, or are the aluminum fins thicker than those on the 7700 and not really resonate when the fan speeds up?
