Do you think this Antec Aria build will be silent?
From what I've read, the main criticism of the Aria is that the psu fan spins up too quickly and becomes audible. Do you think this Aria build would essentially be silent?" Is the picture of the back panel from the Sonata I (with updated psu), because there are no intake vents for the cpu duct? Don't know what they charge for shipping, but these Black Hole isolation dots look pretty cheap and could always be cut down to size:

Can I use a 92 x 32 fan on a Thermalright XP-90?
I think the answer is yes, but I would like to confirm that the clips on a Thermalright XP-90 will accept a 32 mm deep 92 mm fan.

I got my two 92 mm NMB fans today. I don't have anywhere to mount them inside my computer, but I can provide some free air observations (fans are fed off of a Spire Dual Speed fan controller, whose knob varies voltage between approximately 6.5V and 11.5V, with or without a Zalman Fanmate 2) and ambi...

Does unused Artic Silver Ceramique have any tendency to deteriorate over time (i.e. is it OK to buy one of those larger syringes as a lifetime supply or simply get a small syringe and get a "fresh" small syringe when it eventually runs out?)? How can I replace the 120mm fan in a Fortron FSP-350?
Does the fan connector in this power supply use the standard 3 pin header and is it easily detachable from it's PCB? Also, anyone know if a Globe 120 mm fan would fit inside the casing correctly? And will the power supply function if nothing is connected to the pcb's fan header? (I would use an exte...

$5 92mm fan for Thermalright XP-90?
What do you guys think of using this $5 92mm fan with a Thermalright XP-90 for silent computing?
I think it's the same as Dell part # 7G538 (NMB replacement for the horrendously noisy Datech fan in some Dell 8200).

Is it something noticeable with the case closed, or do you need to have your ear next to it to appreciate the bearing noise. I've got a 7700 AlCu in my computer, and by SPCR standards, it's insanely loud. I also have a 7000 Cu that I am going to install in another computer and I really have to have ...

Do the fans in Zalman 7000 hsf become noisy over time?
Any long time Zalman 7000 users noticed any perceptible increase in fan bearing noise as your fan aged with use? Also, do the aluminum fins tend to resonate moreso than the copper ones? (I own a Zalman 7700 AlCu and, in addition to a lot of bearing noise, it seems that the aluminum fins start to res...
