so is it actually 12.6 volts? or is it just a problem in reading the correct voltage? i searched briefly last nite when i read the reply from technopride--somewhere someone said they checked their a7n8x with a voltmeter and it came to about 12.7 to 13 volts. it's really 12.6v, verified with multime...

that happens with my current allied 450w powersupply 12.67v in bios mbm5 reports 12.07--and i'd like to believe that. i had a powersurge once and figured that was the reason. do you think its really that high? Check with voltmeter, 12.07 is normal, 12.67 is not. AFAIK allied PSUs are rebadged codeg...

Your system is heavily +5v oriented.

I'm not sure how the S12 or TPII will fare under such a system, but my FSP's +12v rail goes haywire under my A7N8X.

Can u say 12.6v for the +12v rail?

Gotta say that scares me.
many of ADDA's fans aren't listed on their website. I can't find the specs for their 80mm low speed sleeve bearing fans as well :(

I believe the Logitech UltraFlat is available under another brand in the US.

saw this pic over at HardOCP.

Gallery post

It has a black on silver theme and has a few multimedia buttons which the Logitech version lacks.

For a low power system, you can safely put a 1200rpm fan inside the psu.

the stock cooler covers both the GPU and the HSI chip. The Palit card doesnt follow the nvidia reference design. If you are going to install an aftermarket cooler, you need another small heatsink to cover the HSI chip, then also consider whether your GPU heatsink can clear the HSI heatsink. I'm inte...

drives read those smaller discs at a slower speed compared to the usual discs.

No surprise that they are more quiet. If you're using Nero DriveSpeed to control the read speed, it probably doesn't make much of a difference.

you might want to try a 1200rpm Coolermaster.

I have a generic (possibly YateLoon D12BL-12) fan rated @ 1200rpm 12v in the PSU and it doesn't run hot.

people who buy this probably run it with some OCZ 520w or 600w PSU, which eliminates the need for external power. All these means added costs.

it's seems to be a budget psu. Note the absense of "FSP" in its model naming. The Bluestorm AX500 is an exception though.

If i'm not wrong, there's also no PFC of any sort?

It's hard being an ecologist and liking computers at the same time, but the concept for this PSU rocks: cheap, simple and ecologically friendly. Apart from that the fact that it doesn't weigh much can be great for LAN partyers, after the case the PSU is the heaviest component. The thinner cables mi...
