The WD6400AAKS, it's certain to have the 320GB platters, is this correct? 'Cause I don't want to gamble for the 320GB model. :P

WD3201ABYS it is not a new versione. Well, that wasn't quite what i asked - i just asked which one of them that was newer. Edit: Found the WD6400AAKS, i will probably be getting that one, so no need to answer that question anymore. Is this version sure to be with 2x320GB platters? Saw a post...

So, how big is the difference between WD3200AAKS and WD3201ABYS? The latter one is under the enterprise category on WD's webpage.
Does it also use a single 320 GB platter?
Which one is newer? And is it possible to directly point out one of them and say "this one is the better one!"?

mexell: if you're correct, then i guess it would be possible to fit into my plans. :) I'm going to power E8400, GA-P35-DS3, 2 GB RAM and some misc. stuff with a be quiet! 350W PSU. And (hopefully) this graphics card. :P Edit: Wait you were thinking about the 3870? Even better! :P 'Cause I was thinki...

what does everybody think about this recommended 450W PSU? I'm not going to use a monster quad-CPU and lots of other stuff, would it be able to run on a 350W PSU?

Thank you :D I will probably just get one HDD, so i can't use RAID(if i have understood how it works correctly ;) ). But, the only board that is sold in rev 2.1(native 45nm support :) ) is the GA-P35-DS3R where i'm buying my parts. Is it worth getting that one for the native support, or does that re...

gigabyte's p35-ds3 line...

Could someone explain this to me... whats the difference between them?
A very quick rundown would be apprieciated, no need for extreme details

GA-P35-DS3
GA-P35-DS3L
GA-P35-DS3P
GA-P35-DS3R

Also, which one of them would be considered best? :?

Questions, questions! :3

450Watt or greater power supply with 75 Watt 6-pin PCI Express power connector recommended. That's what the sapphire webpage recommend. Would i be fine with my 350W or is it to little? :s Also... i'm not very cunning when it comes to graphic card outputs and screens... i didn't recognize the output...

The 3850 looks really nice... Up until now, i was considering to get a asus 8600GT silent, now i'll have to decide which of 'em to get. ;) Pretty big price difference though... but so goes with performance too, i hope  Does this card use much power, will a 350 W PSU suffice for this, a GA-P35-D...

Will the GA-P35-DS3 work out fine, even if it isn't rev 2.1? All revisions below it doesn't natively support 45nm as I understand it. Would I be able to start up windows and download a new BIOS version or would it refuse to even start? [Edit] Don't know who put a google translation link in my post.....

A chip gives off the same amount of heat whether it is passively cooled or actively cooled. So the method of cooling makes no difference in the amount of heat that is dissipated. What I tried to say was "Won't the heat have a harder time leaving the chassis if it doesn't have any helping fan?" but ...

ok, i'll settle for a passively cooled model then. I read somwhere here on SPCR's forum that one should have a negative airflow in the case for this card, to be effectively cooled i guess. Is this created by, for example, having more exhaust fans? Oh, by the way, which of three Asus models is ...

Putting together a computer...

First of all, hello all! I'm sitting here with my old premade computer, and the last months i've lurked about here and gathered knowledge about all sorts of computer hardware to be able to put together my first non-premade build, and now it's time to put that knowledge to the test. :P So, i had some...
