If im not mistaken it would weigh about 3.3 times the original if the original was 100% aluminium and the dimensions were identical, based on comparing the density of alumium and copper. The fins are alumium on the normal version, but the base and heatpipes are copper copper as far as i know. They j...

I have the LG in my HTPC and it seems to work fine, no BD movies yet though since i only have HD-DVDs. But those seem to work fine. Noise is normal. Definately a lot quieter than having hte Xbox running... But anything is quieter than that. And i get 24P support(which the xbox doesn't do), though it...

Mr. Jefe is saying that it might not be adequate if you do a lot of gaming running the aforementioned resolution. The 4670 will have no trouble dispaying 1900x1200. Or maybe he's saying something completely different, in which case i'll just have another glass of Ardbeg in preparation of my crucifix...

At least verkkokauppa lets you return pretty much anything you physically picked up at the store. There's some limitations regarding some produts. Something like clothes shops not allowing returns of underwear unless they are defective.. Some other shops also have better return policies than r...

Erssa--> That's one of the main reasons why i use verkkokauppa.com. I've returned stuff because i thought the quality was poor. Also returned my HDD because the revision was wrong(four platters instead of three). They didn't even ask why i returned it.

It hsould be the same as for the 3870 though, whichever that was. I left the stock VRM / Ram cooling plate thingie on the card. it cools the VRMs much better tha...

Well it was flimsy. But at the time 120mm fans were not yet the standard, and it was a very nice case after some damping and suspension. My quietest ever system was in a 3000B. And my first own system was in a 660AMG.

The Nexus website for the Clodius says 1000-1700rpm in at least three places. So the fans are exactly as they should be. It's most likely that the OEM has slapped the wrong stickers on them for some reason, but that does not matter since there's not a possibility for you to check the label on the fa...

Interesting card that Xonar.. I have a HD4870 and the sound over HDMI doesn't work too well. Or it did at first, then it stopped working after resuming from standby. And sometimes it works when playing music, but videos have no sound. It's not a codec issue since analog output works just fine.

I definately agree with you that damping material does not make a huge difference in sound volume in most cases, but it does make the sound smoother and even thinner layers work pretyt well on high frequency noise like HDDs.. But if you have a big case it's easy enough to have thick layers or foam a...

Well there is, but not an easy way. You could use optical detection with a camera or something ismilar, but that's maybe a bit over the top.. Oh and definately check the current rating of the mobo header, that thing probably draws a nice amount of current and you don't want to burn the header.

Anyone that claims damping material raises case temperatures is either talking bullkaka or not doing it right. You might see a few degrees difference, but i've never seen that. And you could also argue that the reduced volume inside the case accelerates airflow, resulting in better cooling.
