Thanks for the informative posts Whiic! After going through the articles I was thinking the same on the Ninja's temperatures being different in one review to the other. It makes the Ultra-120 look so awesome I wonder why they are so different. :? I have another look at the heatsinks, every time I re...

Cheers for info Shmanky really useful to know, I did make sure to read your thread as it was fairly similar to what I want to build. Is yours up and running yet? I am tempted to go with the E6850 for the extra 40 or so pounds, I was going to go with 667 MHz ram also, but the price difference was aro...

New P182/E6750 build could really use some help and advice.

Hi everyone I've had a terrible time of late with my pc's. My main one (P4/IC7-Max3 build) decided to die on me, so what I thought was a few months before my next build got moved forward. So I hit one of my favourite computer related forums in search of some good components and ideas. Usage - Lots o...

So over the Easter weekend, I installed all the bits and have some good news on my update. Considering the weekend temps were fairly warm here I am very happy with the new readings after modifications... New Temps - with case door on! CPU Temp - 54 Idle / 65 Load SYS Temp - 32 Idle / 33 Load? PWM Te...

Your case is much tidier then mine :) I have been trying to find a SI-120 or a XP-120 but with no joy, so I've decided to go the way of the 92mm Arctic Cooling fan as you suggested ;) With the Zalman Northbridge cooler, hopefully that will help lower the numbers. I will update when they arrive, than...

Thanks very much for your input, I think there must be some problem with the Zalman CNPS7700-ALCU possibly has a fair bit of dust on it, which I have cleaned. I was testing it earlier by stopping the 120mm case fan and then the psu fan and noticed that the Zalman didn't seem to be shifting much air ...

Sorry for the double post, but I really could use a hand deciding on a 92mm fan for the Thermalright XP-90C...anyone? :(

Edit: How about the AcoustiFan 92mm, does anyone have any experiences with them?

I've been wondering on the same subject... Apparently the DL writing (as well as overall) performance of the Samsung Writemaster isn’t exactly going to win any medals, but I have heard good things about the noise levels. It's currently on my list for my new PC, but there hasn't been much other talk.

I am debating between the Asus P5B Deluxe and P5W DH at the moment, and seeing as my new system would be so similiar to yours I thougth best to ask about your experiences with the ...

No joy on the ebay front damn :( I have found the XP-90C, only problem now is deciding on a 92mm fan... Ok, my list is set

1. Thermalright SI-120
2. Nexus 120mm
3. Zalman ZM-NBF47

Now the Nexus and Zalman I found pretty quickly, but after searching for an hour I can't seem to find anywhere that sells the Thermalright SI-120 :(

Any ideas on that one?

It really does look great! I was just going to ask to see a picture of the Reserator 2 beside the P180 for size comparison, but you have already done it :) I might have to use the idea of a fan in the lower section, I was thinking of putting my 2 raptors down there. Currently mine in my Sonata run a...

I like your idea Cerberus, the Thermalright series seem to have a lot of tall heatsinks.

I am not sure the SI-128 will fit my 478 though :(

Quieting/Cooling my 3.0 Prescott on an Abit IC7-Max3

As the title suggests I am looking to make my current PC a bit quieter and provide a bit of extra cooli...

Great work snq! I am hoping to build a PC in the near future very similiar in spec to yours, I was going to wait for the P182 to come out, but your case does look great with superb cable management. Does anyone know what the "technical" name for the rubber thingy used to protect the molex coming out...
