but as they said, warranty are NON transferable. See in all RMA I dealt w/ in the past 20 yr., the serial no. tells if the unit is under warranty, so it doesn't matter whether you have that receipt or not. Imagine it's one of those corp. purchase, the big co. bought a batch of say 200 video card, so...

Here's a simple question, what if it is a simple christmas gift from someone? What then? Call your friend and said, "Hey, I'm really sorry, but the christmas gift you gave me last year is defective, and in order to have warranty, I need the original receipt." You know what EVGA will then say? I bet ...

I got the 3M fancy mask. And I also have my eyes on a spray booth with fan sucking the fume out directly to the windows. The concern is: 1) Even w/ the above setup, at the spray booth usage, assuming it is somewhat airtight, where you insert your hand inside the booth, there is still holes where the...

EVGA has a no. of US/Canada wide authorized distributors, (listed on their web site) which in turn, sell their EVGA video card to resellers, such as the one this Israel guy bought from. Clearly from the large batch that this dealer bought, that they are brand new sealed EVGA video card from his dist...

EVGA refuses to offer warranty replacement on video card
http://www.evga.com/community/messageboard/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=25610 this is hot. They have a series of card that's defective. So they cook up reasons for those who bought it at ebay, not to offer warranty. The guy who sell it is a powerseller, clearly a house office type dealer who bought in quantit...

I'm aware of the Nidec series. But the replacement is much worse as far as noise is concerned. the old fan is only 68.9 cfm, I forgot what the old noise dB level is, but definitely much lower than 48.4 db I was thinking of this on a professional HP workstation: Kill the above 38 mm fan, replace w/ t...

I'm positive before I post that link that Sony is also the one who bundle their laptop w/ Samsung SSD. And yet I can't find the link. At my friend's workplace, there is a 120 mm system rear cooling fan (measured from edge to edge of the black square is 125 mm). It's not extremely noisy, but clearly you can easily hear the fan noise. The brand name is called NMB, http://www.nmbtech.com/index_f.html and I believe the motor is from t...

Yep. But since the write cycle limit on most of these drives is something like 5 million writes, and since the drives reallocate portions of the disk which have been written to too many times, I read that from those web site. But how? There is no moving parts on the drive. So how does these "too ma...

I mentioned SOny because in their latest laptop, they bundled w/ SSD from Samsung in 32 GB capacity. Samsung is release the above...
