I think you should keep you kit simple, powering two motherboards with one PSU is probably not a good idea. If you want to save on space and electricity use dual processor clients. You should use the fastest machine you have for the server with at least 256MB ram. The clients could run with only 64M...

You probably want to stay away from those, they are tinker core and takes around 38 hours on a XP2200 to complete a WU. A 51 point gormac core WU would take ~18-19 hours on the same machine.sbabb wrote: So where is ELan getting all of these high-point WUs? How do I get some?

Prices for Boxed Pentium M 1.6GHz are around $350. $233 for 1.3GHz. emjembedded.com's prices are waaaaay overpriced for Pentium M CPU's. Do boxed Pentium M processors come with a HSF? What type of motherboard and case do you have?
You may get away with passive cooling if you had a case like this and the 6000alcu.

Kostik's review on nexus 3500SE
Kostik, my apologizes for using this unorthodox method of attracting your attention but the fish made a mess of translating your review on the nexus 3500SE. Can you give a short conclusion on this PSU, I interested in knowing if this PSU is louder than a dual fan enermax 350W PSU under load. Thanks ...

CharlieChan has an FT that he is happy with The SS300FT is in a system with very low power requirements ~100W AC under load (folding@home). The SS300FT replaced a qtechnology 300W PSU so my definition of quiet may not be the same as yours. I tried the PSU in a dual athlon MP2200+ and it is louder t...

I forgot what the idle temps are but it is currently at 52/39 with folding@home running 24/7. Check the thread on the seasonic SS300FT as a few people have had...

The fujitsu-siemens P4 motherboards has had dynamic thermal throttle for a number of years. I have a D1527 running a P4 2.0G. It is possible to dynamically set the thermal throttle from 51oC to 70oC. The CPU fan can be set to stop and does not start until CPU temp reach 55oC. At idle the CPU fan doe...
